“Just as it was.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

The original house. Going through is a great experience. Don't even try to look for parking. Just pay the $$ and park in a lot. Walk around the area. You can almost feel Betsy's presents.

“Great tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We did the audio tour; worth the extra fee. Betsy Ross was in her shop and it was amazing how she shared about her work, answered questions AND remained in character! Steps were numerous and very steep. Nice gift shop. Helpful staff. An exellent glimpse into history.

“Nice piece of Americana”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Pay the seven bucks for the audio tour or don't bother stopping just to see the gift shop. It is well worth the money to see how the small interiors typical of the downtown houses at the time were utilized on every level including the basement.

“Loved it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

This is a really quick little tour but gives you a much better understanding of Betsy Ross' contributions to the Revolutionary War. She was an amazing woman!

“Betsy Ross -- an historical footnote”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

As a native Philadelphian, I'm perplexed that the myth of Betsy Ross and the U.S. Flag has gone on as long as it has. I guess the true significance of Betsy Ross is that she's the first American celebrity, who was made famous via hype rather than accomplishment.

Instead of this place, check out the Graff House, where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, and often overlooked National Treasure!
