This is art for the connoisseur, enhanced by the quality of the lovely old galleries.

“Down at heels museum, not worth your while”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

Although this place is the legendary training ground for the gerat Amerian Impressionists, its collection contains only a sprinkling of strong things. It looks like the museum is barely hanging on financially. It's just not worth the price of admission.

“Cool Collection from the Gilded Age”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2012

Although the PAFA features lots of modern work, the high point of the colection for ME is the Victorian aesthetic (even though it got Eakins fired...) If you're out by the Convention Center anyway, you should definitely check it out!
