The property is excellent -- well maintained, nice big rooms, very comfortable bed and very high quality bedding, tasteful accents -- like wood closets, nice art, BOSE stereo system / alarm clock. (No dresser though which means I was living out of the suitcase for four days.) Bathroom has both big tub and separate shower. The restaurant serves good food -- including a fancy spa-designed healthy choices menus. (I especially liked breakfast -- egg white omelet, turkey bacon, multi-grain toast -- coffee and juice (and a complimentary mini-smoothie and croissant) come with a meal which makes a lot of sense -- and almost worth the $25 price tag. Sounds excellent, right? The fitness center -- aptly called SoFit -- is also good -- Lifefitnes equipment with TVs on every cardio machine and earphones to use. So, why did I say only Very Good? Because it's expensive, self-conscious, and extremely pretentious -- affected french accents and francofied name tags (e.g., Christoph ... from Roxboro?) and greetings (Bonjour, Bonsoir, Bon Appetit), a lounge bar that calls itself chic, a romance concierge. All this effort to appear French and yet no bidet in the bathroom?
