“Large suite and within walking to attractions!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We loved our large suite while staying in Philadelphia. It was great to have a kitchenette in the room. Our first night there was a bit warm but the staff was super friendly and helpful with this issue. Luis was a tremendous help and went out of his way to help our room be more comfortable. The location is great because it is within walking distance to many of the attractions.

Staff was helpful and genuine. Housekeeping services excellent. Spacious suites with great coffee. Adjoining pub with room delivery a plus. Bathroom could be a bit larger. Doors designed to slam shut and loudly are not conducive for night owls/late arrival travelers, however.

Room Tip: Stay away from stairwells.

First time, with my business partner, in Philadelphia for business after long hours of travel; first thing that we fell in love with were the beds :) Very comfortable! The room was clean, neat, and pretty with a nice view, especially at night. The Front desk was amazing help! All in all, a beautiful experience we would love to repeat!

Very nice hotel. Was actually a small one bedroom or studio apt and given real estate costs in Philly, it was a good bang for the buck. The room was very nice. Free wifi for 2 devices. Right in downtown so super accessible to everything. I think all rooms have balconies and it was great to sit out on balcony to get feel of city. I researched a lot of Philly hotels before picking this one and my research paid off. I highly recommend this place. Parking is extra but that is to be expected given its location. I think all hotels in this area charge for parking.

pros--friendly staff, great location along beautiful ben frankling pkwy, with choice of two good eateries off lobby -- an irish pub and asian fusion. both had outdoor cafes. decent rooftop pool, LARGE (ball park 800 sq feet) one br suites that are obviously retrofitted from a prior life as business efficiencies -- full kitchens with granite bar and track lights, five-seat table suitable for mini corporate meetings, sofa area with large coffee table. quick and free wifi access.
cons--don't count on a view of the PMOA a la Rocky because hotel is behind the embassy suites.
valet parking is good here, but i hate the concept of paying someone to drive my car up tight ramps and then expecting a tip. 35 bucks or so. about standard in downtown philly.

Room Tip: the higher the better -- all rooms do have balconies though the views will vary (see above)

Dear Uncledoey,
Thank you for choosing to stay with us recently, and for sharing such a thorough review of your experience with us.
I noted that you enjoyed the space in one of our newly renovated one bedroom suites, which is approximately 900 sq ft. While all of our one bedroom suites have balconies, only some of our studio suites do. Some balconies do offer a view of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, while the others offer varying views of the Philadelphia skyline and our neighborhood, including the Barnes Foundation Museum, The Rodin Museum, the Basilica Sts. Peter and Paul, Love Park and City Hall.
We do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Thank you, and best regards,

We go to Philly once or twice a year. We like to stay in Center City at a reasonably priced hotel, close to everything, with decent rooms. The Windsor Suites exceed those expectations. The location is great, close enough to the action and near transit to get you out of the core of the city if need be. The rooms are clean, nicely renovated and well-kept. The service is fantastic, with friendly staff at every end of the hotel. The rooftop pool is a nice feature, as is the gym. It's a great hotel to go with family or with buddies for a fun weekend.

Room Tip: upgrade your room if possible. any extra money put in is worth it for a bigger room, balcony, amenit...

The hotel is centrally located in down town. My boyfriend and I have never been to Philly and we weren't too sure where everything was. The Windsor is perfectly located in the middle of everything. It was close to all the historical tour sites, tour bus pick ups, subways, trolleys, parks, food vendors and bars. We couldn't have picked a better spot. The roof top pool had a spectacular view of the city. The staff was genuinely nice and extremely helpful. Like I said, we had never been to PA and the front desk gals were so helpful with suggestions and routes around the city. Even the maid service was exceptional. We had left our room one day in a mess and they came in and folded our clothes and aligned our shoes! It was above and beyond great service. Not to mention the bed and feather pillows were so comfortable I didn't want to return to my own bed at home!! I'm soooooooo happy with the Windsor!!!! See for yourself!

Room Tip: There are 24 floors, but from 13 up (I think it was level 13) are residential rooms. People actually...
