“comfortable and in walking distance to all of city center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

I spent 4 nights here during a convention. The room prices were jacked up for the week, but that was true of all of the hotels in the area. The room was clean, spacious and quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a large comfortble king bed, plenty of closet space and a small kitchen. I didn't use the kitchen facilities, but it appeared to have everything you would need to cook and serve a meal. The bathroom was clean and not overly small. The daily housekeeping kept the room spotless. The only negatives were no restaurant room service and the free wifi was slow - often you couldn't connect, or would lose your connection. With that being said, I would stay here again.

We stayed here for two weeks during a show at the convention center, which was within walking distance. The rooms (we had three) were large, comfy, clean. The full kitchen made the long stay easier; a table & chairs for eating; a desk for working. Two walk-in closets, one with a safe. Lots of restaurants in the area, including two in the hotel (the Irish Pub was a tad noisy, but the Asian restaurant was quiet with great Thai food!). The service was great. Valet parking was convenient.

I am reluctant to write this review for fear of being booked up next time I call to make my reservations. We have stayed at the Windsor several times and didn't think it could get any better, wrong! Upon arrival we were greeted by name by the friendly and attentive front desk staff who made us feel at home. Angela in reservations, knowing our preferences, took excellent care of us. Now for the suites, all I can say is WOW. The newly renovated, huge updated-rooms were beautiful and most important clean. This was the first time we had a suite in the "back" of the hotel facing the Comcast Center on Arch Street. It was a pleasant view and ever so quiet. The new bed and pillows were comfortable adding to a restful night's sleep. The newly renovated full kitchen was great, new appliances, wood laminate flooring and granite counter tops was not only atractive but very functional as we had coffee (provided by the hotel) and toast in the room every morning. I loved the decor, especially the bathroom. To us, there is no other place to stay in Center City but the WINDSOR. We can't wait for our next trip back to the Windsor in a few months. Kuddos to the entire staff at this wonderful hotel and hopefully I didn't shoot myself in the foot by letting people in on the secret of this gem.

Room Tip: Higher floors obviously provide the best views. WAWA convenience store is right around the corner...

Hard to believe, but for $99 a night we got a large double room, with full kitchen. He location of the hotel is very convenient for visiting the Art Museum or the Burns Foundation, both being within walking distance, along Franklin Avenue, about three blocks away. The old town is also within walking distance, about 30 minutes away. Not everything was perfect in the room: the bathroom needs renovation and care. The heating bulb had been replaced with a regular fluorescent bulb and the bathroom was cool. In the bedroom, the heating system was blowing hot air directly onto the thermostat, causing the heat to shut off too soon.
On the positive side, the Asian restaurant downstairs was very convenient and reasonably priced.
All in all, it was a good weekend deal!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Avenue.

Bravo to the Windsor Suites for providing us with upscale service at value pricing on its stellar Parkway location! After making reservations through Angela, a patient & informative person who explained the hotel's package offers in detail, I felt confident with our decision. We arrived Fri, March 1st for a 3 night stay to attend the International Flower Show, a busy & sold out weekend at many hotels and the Windsor Staff was on point & ready to go on all fronts! From the courteous Parking Garage Attendants to the ever gracious Front Desk Staff (Thank you Zarena, Larinne, Eyob, & Mike) to Seamus, the Windsor's "smiling from within" Bellman - all our transactions at this hotel were fluid & prompt. To our delight, Eyob, exuding professional efficiency, upgraded us to a King Suite. The newly redecorated, enormous suite was immaculate with modern, urban furniture, a full kitchen, walk in closets & pristine towels in the beautiful tiled bathroom. Well appreciated was the plush bedding ensemble after a full day of activities when fatigue set in. Free Wi-fi & individual climate controls in separate rooms were a plus. We definitely plan to stay at the Windsor again, a hospitable gem on the Parkway. (Best, Theresa & Bill)

Room Tip: We were on the 13th floor, it was very quiet.

A couple years ago when I stayed at the Windsor Suites, I thought it was a great hotel with smart, friendly and helpful staff, but was in need of an updating. I returned two weekends ago, and was I pleasantly surprised. Same amazing staff, but the really cool part is the renovations to the rooms. The results are outstanding. The kitchens look sleek and modern with granite counter-tops, the furniture is contemporary and functional. The entire room looks spacious and clean, the colors are calming. The beds are now pillowtops, and are really comfortable. This hotel is on par with the Hiltons, Marriotts, Westins, but with a fully equipped kitchen. I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Rooms close to the elevators so that you don't have to carry your luggage very far.

This hotel is well located for arts tourism within walking distance. The rooms are ample and have real kitchens. The beds are comfortable. The front desk staff and bellman were very pleasant, eager to please and courteous. The front desk staff need training in accurate information about museum hours and distances. The exercise room is satisfactory for my needs.
