Picked this hotel because it was the closest to a business appointment in an area known for challenging traffic conditions during morning rush hour! Older motel in dire need of renovation. The only positive attribute is the room was quiet, well off the road. The public area was acceptable but the hall leading to rooms had missing baseboards hitting at the disrepair which followed once inside the room. Im no Howie Mandell, famous for ordering extra towells and covering the carpet of his hotel rooms. But in this case it would have been prudent and well advised to do so! The carpet just inside the door was soaked with filthy brown water either from the small in room refridgerator or from the hot water pipe in the bathroom sink which had been turned off probably the sourse of the water. Of corse i discovered this fact after i took my shoes off while preparing for bed...i through my formerly white socks away, then covered the carpet with the bath mat and towels. I should have changed rooms but it was late and i had already undressed. The walls of the room desparately needed painting and patching. The shower head was loose but had good pressure and hot water, unlike the sink. The TV worked and the bed reasonably comfortable and appeared clean. Upon checking out the desk clerk was informed
Of the wet carpet, but seemed unconcerned and made no comment, not even a thanks or offer to report it. For $90 a night, you could do much better than this DUMP! Lots of other chipoices and next time i will spend a little more effot finding a better choice.
