“Predictable experience with some bumps”

Nothing too remarkable, same as all airport hotels, but surprisingly disorganized for what doubletree normally offers. Carpets in the corridors where dirty, the locks on the doors where barely functioning (they changed my room twice because of problems) and housekeeping was less than stellar.

I booked this hotel as we had an early departure the next morning and the hotel had a free parking deal at the time. The beds were very comfortable, the room clean and for the proximity to the airport very quiet. We were greeted with warm cookies, hot cider and a very helpful clerk. What more could you ask for at the end of a day?

The hotel shuttle was prompt on our departure. We phoned the hotel when we returned and within a reasonable amount of time were picked up and returned to our car.

I will most definitely be staying here again.

Room Tip: Requested quiet room away from elevator and high floor

Everything ran smoothly; staff was outstanding and the room was acceptable except did not have a fresh smell. There was nothing extraordinary for the room. Bar closed at 12pm which was a bit disappointing.

When you arrive, you are greeted by the happiest man! We did a precheck in through Hilton Honors. We stayed on the Hilton Honors floor. Not sure how it is different from other floors. Unique smell in the lobby. Not sure if I actually liked it or not. We arrived starving, but the main restaurant closed at 9am (15 minutes later) so we went to eat at the sports bar. Great atmosphere. Could use more wait staff though. Very busy for a Tuesday night. ?? Lots of airline staff staying at the hotel. The ONLY thing that was not good was my burger, it was raw instead of WELL. BUT, the waitress took it off my bill. She was great. Prompt, too. People were really having a great time in the sports bar. In the morning, there was a Starbucks right in the lobby - THANK THE LORD!!!! Because, we had a fabulous breakfast in the dining room, SO SO SO GOOD --- but the only thing that was TERRIBLE was COFFEE! It was rank. Starbucks saved the day. Got late check out until 2pm. It was a super duper experience at this very, very busy hotel! Five stars!! Every employee went out of their way to speak to us and say hello. that was nice.

We stayed at the Doubletree Philadelphia because of a 6am flight out. The hotel offers free shuttle to airport every 20 minutes all day and night. Not only did we use the shuttle to head to the airport at 4:20 am, but also used it the night before when we decided to drop off our rental car and have the shuttle pick us up at the airport. The rooms are nice, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and if you stayed long enough in the morning they do offer a free breakfast. We missed out on that-but got our free Starbucks coffee at 4 am-ready in the lobby. Would stay here again.

For the most part the stay was good. Front desk staff and greeters were warm and welcoming. The dinner we had the first night was delicious, Parmesan-encrusted talipia was amazing.

Minor details I found surprising; both mornings at breakfast, even with an empty dining room, there seemed to be confusion as to which tables were properly pre-set and which ones were dirty. Both times we were seated at a table which apparently the dining personnel thought was pre-set but were in fact dirty. Looking around at an empty dining room most of the tables were only partially preset, all of the tables had dishes but very few were complete.

Left at 11:00 am and told the housekeeping staff a few doors down I would return in an hour and a half. They said they would clean the room. When I returned, the only thing they had done was remove dishes. When I asked them why it was not cleaned, they said they started but had to go to lunch. My room didn't get cleaned until much later in the afternoon and even after that I had to call down to the front desk for toilet paper that was left empty

I stayed one night at this disgusting establishment. The hotel seemed nice and newly renovated on its surface, but inside the rooms were another story. The comforter was filthy and when I pulled the sheets back, I found LIVE BEDBUGS! After I finished freaking out, the hotel removed the bugs in a coffee cup (yuck!) and comped the room. But bedbugs travel and you cannot comp that! I had to checkout immediately and remove all my belongings in trash bags! I spent a ton of money in cleaning and I am still traumatized! I will NEVER stay at any doubletree hotels again!! So PLEASE BEWARE!
