“absolutely wonderful!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

My husband and I recently visited Philadelphia for the first time. After reading over several reviews we choose Penn's View Hotel for our accomadations. I was definately happy with our choice. The location is perfect for visiting historical sites in the Independence Mall area. The subway stop is also nearby. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Every staff member we met went over and above to be helpful. The restaurant was fabulous and the breakfast (included with stay) was delicious. The waffles with strawberries and whipped cream were my favorite! I would highly recommend Penn's View for your stay in the city of brotherly love. :)

Room Tip: we upgraded to the fireplace with river view, very nice room

“Welcoming and Beautiful in Historic district”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Wow-Just amazing. The staff are personally interested in you and your stay. Owners even greeted me one day. The morning breakfast was nice touch-classic music, fresh fruit, waffles. For dinner I had lobster ravoli and you'll love the wines-has 120 on tap (world record) and incredible wine room below. As others have said, the hotel itself reminds you of being in England. Wood floors, brick walls, cobble stones outside, and beautiful bathroom. Room comes complete with robe and metal key...remember keys not cards? Comfy bed. You're within walking distance of Liberty Bell, Independence hall, etc. If you're holding a meeting, contact Nick Dominijanni, he'll take good care of you.

Room Tip: There are larger rooms with Jacuzzi tubs.

“A Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

I absolutely loved this hotel! The staff is helpful, professional, and always with a smile on their face. The location is fantastic, just 2 blocks from the visitor center/bell and right by the Delaware. The neighborhood is beautiful with lots of places to eat/drink at close by and a metro station around the corner. You can get to the hotel via the MFL line from the 30th street train station. It's also safe, I am a lone female traveler and I never felt uneasy walking to and from the hotel at all times. The room is clean and super cute and I appreciated the make-up removal towels! The complementary breakfast is rich and the dining area is lovely. I recommend it 100%!

“What a fabulous hotel!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

I recently stayed at the Penn's View Hotel for my birthday and had an awesome time. The service was first class, the rooms were clean with a great view of the river and the breakfast was more than I expected for continental. We even ordered a steak & cheese at 3am and the staff gave me a courtesy call when the delivery guy came. To top it all off, since we checked in late (around 9-9:30pm) the manager was very accommodating and let us leave at 3pm!!! I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends, family and anyone else interested in visiting Philly!! Two thumbs up.

“Lovely Boutique Hotel n old Philly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

This hotel is located on 1st & Market streets..directly in the old city.....can walk 2 most historical sites. It reminds me of being in England......building is old & the decor of the hotel looks like an 18th century British cottage. Breakfast buffet is something that is unique to other hotels because its included n the price.......Staff are very nice & helpful. Seems like its run by an Italian family.....PLUS, ur also directly in the heart of all pubs, restuarants, art galleries,etc......

If you enjoy the old charm of Colonial furnishing,pictures,etc....than this is the place 4 u!

Although charming, the Wifi connection is EXTREMELY SLOW.......My room could have been cleaner......

This hotel is KNOWN all over the city for its WINE CELLAR! they've won several awards & have 125 wines on TAP......Yes, I said TAP.....u have 2 c it 2 believe it.......
