My wife and I stayed there on January 1"st .Were in philly to watch mummers parade.This place was awesome! Manager and staff treated us very well.Great location in Old Philadelphia.Within walking distance to most historic attractions.Rooms were small but very clean and well kept.Free breakfast was second to none.Really a great value.We will be staying there again!

I stayed here with my sister for Easter weekend in 2011 because my apartment had flooded. We picked it because of the jacuzzi. It was a small room for the price, but the service was fantastic and the location impossible to argue with. They had a fantastic breakfast buffet included in the price. It's really a charming hotel and felt very much like a vacation even though I'm a local.

Planned a weekend getaway for my husband and I close to home. Philadelphia is less then half and hour from home and we always wanted to take in all of the historic sites, but the long lines and crowds in warmer weather have turned us off. I searched Trip Advisor for a hotel and came across the Penn View. Really nice place, it's a row of historic town houses converted to a hotel. Our room looked out at the Ben Franklin Bridge, had a fire place and king size bed. Room was a good size but still cozy. Breakfast is included, waffles, eggs, fruit, etc., all very good. The best part is that it's close to everything - walking distance to historic sites, restraunts, bars, shopping. Will definitely stay here again for a great weekend close to home.

We looked at all the high end hotels in town for a weekend get-away with my wife and chose Penn's View primarily due to the other reviews and the location. We were not disappointed at all. The front desk was very efficient and accommodating, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for a walking tour of Old City. After a long day in town, it was very nice to dine downstairs at Panorama. Portion sizes were just right and the wines lives up to the world class reputation. I feel that we had big hotel quality and service in a more intimate and less expensive setting. It will be hard to stay anywhere else in the City.
