“It worked for me.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I read a ton of the reviews before I went & I have to say I was very happy with my stay there. First off the doorman Named Andy could not have greeted us better, the staff was much more friendly than I expected after reading the reviews, I guess the hotel is reading them as well & making changes. The internet was not slow for me, but I only used for email. the rooms were clean, but the only complaints I have is the shower heads are not the type you can take down & have no water pressure at all. it took me so long to even get my hair wet, nevermind shampooed, and the other people slamming the doors all morning was absurd you can't sleep through it. Other than that nice place to stay!

I was here some time ago and panned the place for slovenliness and indifference. I returned to find that the services at the front desk and the concierge's desk were vastly improved. They are still hideously deficient in their restaurant. At breakfast, my wife and I were the only diners and could not get the attention of any of the staff (the bacon was undercooked and I wanted more coffee). I had to get up from the table and hunt down someone who could help us. Waiters are supposed to look around once in a while--especially if only one table in the room is occupied.

Room Tip: view of the park is nice

I came to Philadelphia to visit my daughter who is a college student at Swarthmore and brought my teenage son so we could explore Philadelphia. I decided to stay in the Old City and selected the Omni based on other travelers' reviews - mainly for location and moderate price. Great selection - the hotel itself is terrific, the staff is super helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect. Obviously it's in the heart of the historic area, but it is also very easy to walk to almost everywhere in the main part of the city. Over the course of two days, we explored from Penn's Landing all the way over to the Art Museum, center city, China Town, the Italian Market, Society Hill, and many other destinations in addition to the historic sites - all on foot.

The Omni was top rate and everything about our experience was great. The rooms are plush and has all the qualities you would expect in a high-end hotel. Getting in and out of the city from here is actually pretty easy too. Parking was pricey at $37/night for valet parking, but it was no hassle and probably worth the premium given that parking is hard to come by in the central part of the hotel. Overall a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I asked for a double room with a good view of the park and was given a great room on the 10th floor...

Best location for seeing the historical sites; can walk to everything. Room was spacious, comfortable, clean, overlooked the park with large picture window. Exceptional view! Staff were professional and appeared to enjoy helping make our stay go smoothly. The lobby bar offered a pleasant option for a quick dinner, with good food and efficient service. Was overwhelmed by the strong floral scent in the lobby area, but other than that eveything about this hotel is exceptional. We will return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Chestnut.

We stayed at this hotel on Sunday, Oct 21, 2012. We arrived by car and were met by a doorman who was very helpful as was the registration desk. The room was more than adequate with a very comfortable king sized bed. The bathroom was large and well equipped. The shower head could be improved as well as the water pressure. The location is ideal for the historical part of Philadelphia. Parking is a garage around the corner, very convenient; park yourself $25 for 24 hours, or valet parking for $37. No in and out parking allowed, must pay each time you take your car.
Would stay here again

Stayed here one night prior to moving on to Dover. We had stayed previously at another hotel. This hotel is very very very close to all the Philadelphia sites. Beds are super comfortable and rooms very spacious. Would stay there again in a heartbeat

A smaller omni but nice staff . The room was good . The location is very good , right in front of Independence park area ,really surrounded by history ! There is a metro rail nearby in walking distance .Had a conference in convention centre which was bit far but excellent communication .

Room Tip: Try for rooms on higher floor for better view.
