“Nice room, good location but beware of the minibar with sensors.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I stayed in the Loews PhiladeIphia Hotel for nine nights. I really liked the room, it is spacious and bright. The beds are very comfortable, I loved the additional pillows the hotel provided. My sleeps can be better if the doors of the rooms can be closed with less noise. I was awake a few times in the night after nearing the bangs of the closing doors.
There is free wifi in the room, but you can only connect up to three devices. If you need to connect more than three, you have to pay a fees daily.
If you drive, there is a full valet parking service in the hotel, but you will be charged US$38 excluding tax. At times, the service can get very busy and if you need your car fast, it is better for you to call 20 mins earlier before you leave the room so that you no need to wait too long.
The location of the hotel is great. It is less than 5 mins walk to the popular Reading Terminal Market. Every morning me and my wife will walk there to have our nice breakfast and buy our fruits there.
At the end of our stay, I noticed I was charged on the beverages in the minibar that I did not consume. When I told the staff that I did not take anything from the minibar, he cancelled these charges without further questions asked or do a check the items in our room's minibar. When I asked how can this happened, he explained that the minibar is with sensors and if we removed the can drinks to give some space for the fruits I bought, the system will auto charge the cost into my bill. So beware!

We had our first experience with Loews Hotels in Washington DC. We decided to try Loews in Philadelphia on our trip back to MA. The Loews service and excellence is unmatched. From the moment you pull up to the time you leave they provide excellent care and beautiful accommodations. We look forward to returning again. Thank You

Room Tip: We stayed in a higher floor and the view was amazing of the historic Philly skyline.

Very nice and very helpful staff. If anything is missing just call the 24 hour service and they will provide it to you. It would be better if they add some more seats to the lobby area. My overall experience was very good.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better view of the beautiful city.

I spent 3 nights at the Loews over Labor Day weekend and it was a great experience! The location is right in the heart of everything and a short walk to just about everything we wanted to check out in Philly, ie. the Liberty bell, Magic Gardens, Mutter museum- all about 15-20 min walk, and Reading Terminal Market is literally steps away. There are lots of restaurants right in the vicinity and shopping too.

As far as the hotel itself, the decor was super swanky, being a converted bank, and everything was modern and sleek, and not to mention very clean (muy importante). The rooms were great- spacious, comfy bed and a nice bathroom. There were 2 mirrors in the room apart from in the bathroom which is so much more important than most people realize. Whether you have multiple girls staying in one room who all need to apply makeup/hair or just for getting dressed while the other person is in the bathroom, etc - it's fantastic. The bed was really comfortable, and none of our 1823972138 requests for more pillows was ever denied (we ended up with a count of 15 pillows by the end of the trip hehe). Concierge was also very helpful in coming up with restaurant suggestions as well as places to spend labor day (checking to make sure places were open and regular hours, etc.), although it would have been cool if they had any kind of coupons or passes to offer, as some hotel concierges do.

Great hotel, I would definitely recommend and would most definitely stay again if I ever return to Philly.

Like other Loews hotels and resorts, this is a spectacular find! The views from the rooms are breathtaking; the service is unparalleled in all of Philadelphia. The food from room service was worth every penny and very quick. The linens in the room were luxurious, as we the rest of the room's appointments. The suites are generous in size, and, were able to comfortably handle my husband and I with our daughter. The top floor breakfast is worth the time as the food and the view are exceptional of the city. Lots to do in the area for couples or families. You cannot go wrong staying in this hotel as it can make any vacation or trip the best. Close to everything going on in Philly whether walking, driving, or taking a taxi. Food is the best; restaurant is wonderful, elegant meals.

I stayed here while attending a convention this past summer and really enjoyed it. The decor is really clean and modern and the location to the convention center is great. It's a block away from Reading Terminal Market which was really convenient for grabbing lunch or breakfast. The front desk staff were really nice and friendly. The gym is great and offered cold water and cold towels which was a nice touch. The restaurant in the hotel is great to grab drinks. I also ate there for breakfast one day. It was good, but nothing spectacular.

The only reason I didn't give it an 'excellent' rating was I found the housekeeping to be a bit disappointing. They never seemed to sweep up in the bathroom floor as I would see the same hairs on the floor after they cleaned and the towels were put sort of haphazardly on the towel rack - which always left me wondering if they were the towels i had already used or if they were new towels. The beds were also made up looking like I had made them myself. Overall not a huge deal, but it just seemed like they didn't really care.

We stayed here for the first time in August 2014. The room was clean and comfortable but most of all the service was spectacular. From the bellhops to the valet to the concierge we really felt the strong service which is very rare these days. The location was good - walkable to all the major downtown attractions.

The only drawback was that we got in a little late on the first night and were looking forward to using the pool which was listed online (and we were told at checkin) was open until 10pm. In reality, when we got all changed and went down to the pool we were told it closes at 9:30. However, the pool area, gym and spa were immaculate and well appointed.
