“Wedding Block at the Loews”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

We stayed at the Loews during our wedding weekend and had a wedding block of roughly 45 rooms. When we arrived, the VIP staff had a small gift waiting for us in our room. Our room was a corner luxury king with a beautiful view of the city. We set up our check-in bags and gave them to the front desk, which were distributed without an issue. They also had a bridal ready room where the bride and her bridesmaids got ready the morning of the wedding. After our wedding reception, we came back to the hotel and partied for another couple hours at the Sole Food Restaurant which is open until 2 am on the weekends. When we came back to the room to call it a night, the hotel staff had arranged a heart on our bed out of rose pedals and embroidered our pillow cases with our name and the date of our wedding, which was completely unexpected. The Loews hotel was an essential part of our wedding even though we didn’t have the ceremony/reception there. They made us feel welcome, comfortable, and helped us prepare for the best day of our lives.

Stayed for 3 nights while attending a conference in the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (especially "Philly Phil" at the Concierge desk!) The large rooms with gorgeous views are sleek and comfortable and the location is great. I would definitely come back with family/friends.

Room Tip: Ask for "river view"

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family. The only thing negative is the fee for internet. Other than that everything was class A!!!!

Room Tip: avoid a room near the elevator

Stayed here last weekend. received room upgrade to 30th floor. fabulous views of Philadelphia at night. Staff friendly and personable. Location fabulous, an easy walk to a wide variety of restaurants in downtown philly. Easy to get to from highway. On the downside have to pay for internet access. Really in 2013? valet parking also on the steep side but about average for inner city hotels. on weekends parking available for much less within a block

Everyone working at this property is focused on serving their guests. My wife and I were amazed. They anticipated our needs, our questions, and looked for ways to make our stay better. Willie brought our bags up, and commented on a great many things, where the gym was, when it opened, when it closed, etc. etc. From the car valets to the people at the gym everyone was proud to be there, and happy to help.

The Property: Beautiful Art Deco Hotel. The rooms are huge. Modern, furnished in cool and contemporary style, the beds and linens are comfy.

Perfectly located, close to the convention center, Starbucks across the street, loads of restaurants just blocks away, shopping, sightseeing, all within a short walk. Great gym. They even have water in the lobby and the gym with fruit slices. Fresh fruit in the gym as well.

The Food: I thought the food served at our events (we were there for a seminar) was a bit too fancy (or overdone), kinda like going to a wedding. I would have preferred less formal and fussy food.

From check in to check out, our time at Loew's was seamless, our experience as a total whole was comfortable and pleasant.

I had to go to the ER during my stay. Not only did they cover the cab there and back, they offered me a $50 credit to the minibar or room service because my sheets hadn't been changed while I was gone. They even sent a "Get Well Soon" platter to my room with cookies and the brand of soda I'd been getting from the minibar! If I have the money to stay here again, I definitely will!

Room Tip: The higher you are, the better the view!

The Loews hotel is my go to hotel in Philly. The location is great and the staff is wonderful. I cannot count the times I've stayed, but it's always a great experience. This trip was with my mom, who was a first timer. The room was great-logged newly renovated, we enjoyed the bar and loved the proximity to the Reading Terminal Market. Anyone going to Philly should stay here.
