“Best Hotel in Philadelphia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

I am travelling a lot for business (100 nights per year) and stayed at the Loews Hotel in Philadephia. The hospitality, great service and excellent food is exceptional. It is far superior than the other top hotels in Philadelphia.

Room Tip: upper, corner floor have a spectacular city view.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Loews Hotel for a sorority conference. The place is fabulous. Staff is friendly, professional and helpful. The place is spotless!!! I mean from the front door to your room. It's nice to stay at a hotel where it's extremely clean. I wouldn't know about parking because I caught the Megabus to Philly. Catching a taxi was easy and affordable. You must eat at Warmdaddys Restaurant!!! Great food and entertainment. The room has a flat screen tv. Up to date amenities.

The hotel was average. There was evidence of refurbishment but it didn't appear that much happened lately. The room was ok. Good location relative to City Hall and Convention Center. Staff was unfailingly polite and helpful.

The Hotel was incredibly friendly. Great Staff, great room, fun amenities and really great location. The only issue again was parking, it was extremely expensive, and non-negotiable. It was run as a separate business, and that staff wasn't so great. It's a city hotel, so expect to pay parking anywhere.

Thank you for your comment on Trip Advisor. Three “Greats” in a row! That’s what we like to see. We are pleased that you found everything to be “Great”. We agree our parking charges are due to our location in the city. Our apologies, that your experience with valet was not so great. We will be reviewing your comment with our valet management team to make sure our guest have a pleasant experience from beginning to end.

Stayed here for a convention and was highly disappointed by how dated and musty the hotel felt. The lobby and common areas are dingy and have a greasy chemical smell that is not at all pleasant to return to. Lots of dents everywhere - on the metal elevator doors, the ice box, you name it. The tv in my room did not face the bed... It was on the left side of the bed and you had to turn sideways to watch it. Weird! Never seen a room so poorly designed before. The only upside was the central location, but there are other options in the vicinity. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere.

Beautiful hotel and room was spectacular. Was a little nervous on 30th floor when storm came in and was causing windows to move and rattle. Staff were incredible. Very friendly and always eager to help. Always spoke when passing you in the hall. Great stay.

My wife is in the middle of cancer treatments so we have been playing things by ear. It was also spring break so my eleven year old was home. We decided to roadtrip and ran through some options waterpark(indoor) maybe not the best for the wife. Perhaps NYC just a bit on the pricey side. Maybe Boston then the wife said what about philly ? She had never been so it was decided. I began researching hotel rates decided I wanted to stay center city near attractions and at least a three star. When I found a great rate for the Loews a four star priced better than some three stars DONE. We booked wed Thurs arrived a bit after 5 on wed the front desk had us on our way to a beautiful corner room. As others have mentioned here the valet parking was a bit of an expensive proposition so I parked in the public lot right across from it on 12th. Convenient enough and a considerable savings. The staff in this hotel is fabulous from the doorman to the desk to the bellman (Dan) arriving was a joy. Any questions put to the concierge staff were answered quickly and knowledgeably. We enjoyed the hotel so much we added on sat night. However the room we were in was already booked so we moved the new accommodations the opposite corner from the last (new view)the desk sent a bellman and moved us. Well in advance of the four oclock check-in.We reluctantly checked out on sat planning our next visit as we left. This is a WONDERFUL hotel in a fabulous city looking forward to our next visit. (Sooner than later I hope!!!)

Room Tip: A few extra dollars for the larger king room worth it if you plan on a rollaway. To get your bearing...
