“Excellent Customer Service! SUPER Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Stayed here for a wedding back in November for several days, when my cousin got married. The location was SUPER! Everything you wanted within walking distance...Reading Terminal, Historical Area, Macy's, LOVE Park...Just the best of the best of Center City right there at your fingertips!

Rooms were cleaning and well maintained. The housekeeping staff were awesome and very accomodating!

The front desk staff were amazing! They were a BIG help in getting our large family checked in, and making sure that the bride had everything she needed!!!

We flew into Philly the before Thanksgiving, and we weren't 100% sure what to do for dinner..the girls at the front desk suggested that we try out their restaurant right there....It was great!

The views from our room was amazing!!!!! Loved having the blinds open at night...and just relaxing looking out the window!

I just booked another trip to Philly, and Loews is where I am staying!!!

Great stay! Quiet, clean room, conveniently located to downtown Philadelphia and stadium.
Second time staying here and quality still top notch. Restaurant is great too! Pets are welcome which is a plus for families traveling with pets. Parking is convenient as well.

The location of Loew's couldn't be better. It is only a block away from Reading Terminal Market (great breakfast at the Amish restaurant area), a couple blocks to Macy's, easy walk to Historical district (Liberty Bell!) with its charming cobblestone streets, and a nice but longer stroll (flat terrain) to South Street and the Magic Garden & funky nearby bars & shops, and then on to Penn's Landing for a great pier view. We also walked to the hidden treasure Ramstead Room for exquisite, carefully made cocktails, as well as McGillins Old Ale House (est 1860) the oldest bar in Philly. Concierge service was friendly & helpful, with maps and suggestions. The hotel bar & restaurant has some tasty drink specials & $5 appetizers (small but delish!). The gym is great, and large, it opens at 6 AM. We booked using Guestmob (4-star). The tour bus area is only a block or so away, but with the pleasant hot weather, we chose to walk and truly enjoyed the various neighborhoods around Loew's. LOTS of weddings are booked in this hotel, so locals must have a great confidence level with this facility. Very enjoyable stay, I would recommend this hotel for sightseeing in Philadelphia.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 29th floor and had a nice & expansive view.

My wife and I stayed here for one night over the Labor Day weekend. The entire staff from the valet to bell help were very helpful and friendly. Downtown location close to some shops and restaurants.

--Our room was small but clean and comfortable. We had a 6th floor room with no view of anything but construction equipment. It had a Keurig coffee maker which was great. There was a reasonable selection of available TV channels. Wifi was not free so I opted not to pay.

---I did not like the fact that at 3:30 pm room was not ready. We received phone call when room was ready. I also did not know in advance that valet parking would be $43 per day. Express checkout also did not work on the TV.

Otherwise nice hotel, but to me just average with potential to be better.

The location is very convenient, only a block from the Reading Terminal which has a train to/from the airport at half the cost of a cab. There are nearby Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts but head to the Reading Terminal Market for coffee and food.

The view from our room was of William Penn at City Hall. My son and his wife had a view of the river. We attended a wedding on the 33rd floor and the views with the sun setting and the city at night were fantastic. The reception food was amazing from the cocktail hour to dinner! Special props to the Chilean sea bass! The staff was attentive and friendly.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for our anniversary, the room and the hallway was dirty.. the maid service never showed up till late in the day when we wanted to dress for dinner. The bed was very hard like rocks, killed my back! The decor is very outdated and the air vent in the bathroom was filthy, we had to call for it to be cleaned. When we asked for extra coffee they left one extra they leave bottled water in the room but it cost $5.50 a bottle. Truly this was a disappointing experience. Will never stay there again.

Went here overnight for wife's birthday. If you can splurge a little, get a premium room that has spectacular views of Philly and access to the Club level / concierge lounge for breakfast. Not the largest rooms, but amazing views. Breakfast in the lounge was relaxing, with many options including fresh fruits and smoked salmon. Very friendly staff. Great location with countless great restaurants in the area, however the hotel lounge is a first class restaurant and bar and you may find yourself wanting to just stay in.c

Room Tip: Get a room on the Club level if you can splurge. Do it!!!
