Stayed for one night during Labor Day weekend. Go there about 2:30PM and were told that our room was not ready yet, due to the 4PM check-in. We were given a marked parking garage ticket which allowed us to come and go as we please. The garage by the way is $36 per day, which is charged by the hotel. The garage by the way has a separate entrance from the hotel, so you will have to bring back bags down to the garage elevator main floor and walk next door to the hotel in order to bring it to your room and vice versa if necessary. We parked the car, killed some time around the area and came back at 4PM, when our room was ready. The lines during check in (probably due to the holiday weekend) were long and it took quite some time to check in. The hotel itself was very nice. The lobby was nice and modern with a huge touch screen display that helps you map out your visit. There was lots of seating and a bar area which I am not sure if it public or not. During our visit I believe a wedding party was there, which they probably rented out. I did see an exercise room and a mini store closeby the lobby check in area. The hallways were lovely and the room was great. Very neat and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The room was not that big, but most big city hotel rooms aren't. Wifi was very slow, which can be a bit annoying at times. The location is definitely a big selling point of this hotel as this place is about 3 blocks away from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. A lot of museums are around in the area as well as Penns Landing, which was lovely views of the Ben Franklin Bridge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to take in the historic tourist attractions of Philadelphia.
Also, I did not run into the "construction" issues that other reviewers have faced in the recent past.
