“Feel Extra Special”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is one hotel where you feel extra special...from your entrance to your departure and everything in between. The staff is polite, the rooms are exquisite and the service exceptional. Breakfast, lunch and dinner (and who could miss afternoon cocktails in the lounge? or on Sunday brunch?). Treat you spouse or special someone for a weekend getaway. Museums are close by as is Center City shopping and attractions.

We stayed at the Four Seasons Philadelphia one night in April after we went to a NHL hockey game. It is a great hotel, in a central location and provides the level of service you expect from a FS. We ate dinner in the bar area and had a full dining room menu available to us in a casual setting. The valet, front desk and all other staff were professional and helpful. Will stay there anytime we are in the Philly area.

If you truly want a hotel that will take care of you, book here. The staff, accommodations, food & location are great. The security is nice too since a lot VIPs seem to stay here. The breakfast at Fountain is the best way to start your morning, there is something for everyone. The location is great because it is a short walk everywhere, but it is still quiet. For a nice view, ask for a room that faces the Parkway.

Room Tip: If you want a great view, ask for a room that faces Logan Square/The Parkway.

After a week of touring colleges in NYC and PA, my reward was 2 nights at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia as the rate they were offering ($219 a night) was incredible. Not only was the hotel very nice and the restaurants good, it is perfectly located on Logan Square, a 10 minute walk to the new Barnes Foundation gallery which is a must. Book ahead as all the reasonable tickets were gone for the saturday we were there, and we ended up with a timed Friday night entry. It is a destination museum, and especially so if you've visited the original Barnes in Merion, PA, a suburb of Phili. Our room was quiet and sunny and it made the BYOB restaurants in down at the heel steel towns in PA recede. I could get a drink at last.

Room Tip: Aks for high floor and sunny.

I had a fantastic spa pedicure here at the four seasons!

The room was quiet and relatively private. Kim was very professional and spent a great deal of time and effort on getting my feet in perfect spring shape! I walked out feeling confident and relaxed.

About once a year, my daughter and I pick a different U.S.city to explore and enjoy. This year we chose Philadelphia and stayed at FS Philadelphia for our 24 hour getaway. Over the years, we've stayed at over a dozen Four Seasons.

Without a doubt, the staff in this hotel made this very, very special. The smiles, the can do spirit, the humor, the genuine concern and positive spirit were exemplary and exceptional. I need to especially recognize the Swan dining room team members--Jonathan, Ronald, Jenny, and Christine--(and Valentine, too) for unbelievable service and assistance. Their service and efforts were truly reference point for Four Seasons service. Bravo!!

Park in the public garage directly behind the hotel. It's $27 and is exactly where the valet drivers park your car for $50+. The $72 per person Sunday Brunch was beautiful but way, way too much. I chose the corned beef hash for $20; and it was perfect.

I still think it's terrible that FS charges for wi-fi internet (Obviously someone way up in FS wants to charge for it; If he or she could only realize that it dimishes the brand because every cheap hotel, even in Kansas in South Dakota, offers it for free).

Everything from the enthusiasm of folks that greet you at the door to the quality of the rooms and the exceptional food make the Four Seasons a truly memorably place to stay. The eggs benedict at the Fountain are the best you will ever find.
