“Walking in their footsteps”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

It's wonderful to find the doors of this historic building open to the public most of the time, and the guides/staff were very welcoming in answering questions about the church and its history. Visitors are invited to sit in the presidential pew (which my 11-year-old thought was exciting), and the little gift shop is good, too. The cemetery is just a couple of blocks away, and also worth a visit along the trail of Independence sites. If you love history, it's a must-visit.

“Lovely space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Beautiful church and nice to see plaques where our forefathers sat in church - lends to the imagination. The docents are a bit of know-it-alls, yet not exceptionally accurate on history, but nice enough when not condescending. Actually, the people of Philly are not the nicest in general - oxymoron that it's the City of Brotherly Love....

Please stop in to hear what the guide will tell you about the church. It only takes a few minutes and it is time well spent

Within walking distance of the attractions on Independence Mall. Also close to many restaurants and the Market Street station.
