“Beautiful but no free Wi-Fi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

My husband and I stayed here for the first time during a conference in Philadelphia. Parking in the below ground lot was pretty easy with well marked signs to get to the lobby. The lobby area is breathtaking. Check in was easy but was disappointed to learn that Wi-Fi is extra - you'd think with as much as the rooms cost and the upscale nature of the hotel that Wi-Fi would be a must, considering many professionals stay here. Our room was fine - clean and comfortable. Concierge was fantastic. They gave us advice as to how to get to a tour we had scheduled and called us in a taxi. They were also very knowledgeable about local restaurants and gave good directions. My husband loved both the morning and dinner buffets in their own on-site restaurant, other both were near $20 per meal. We had to leave the premises for lunch, as not much to offer during this time of day. My conference rooms were clean and well lit. The staff was friendly too. I'd give more than 4 stars if it weren't for the lack of free Wi-Fi. When we travel, we expect free Wi-Fi.

Room Tip: If you go for a conference or during a busy season, ask to have a lower floor. It took forever for...

I would just like to just say the customer service from your Security team and the Concierge front desk were excellent. Doing my stay at your Sheraton I found someone's wallet from out of town, I returned the wallet to the Security Supervisor on duty, who made sure it was returned to the out of country visitor. Also doing this time this security supervisor was pulling an double shift. But he was friendly and even with all that was going on, he made sure the wallet was returned to the happy young man. As a Director of training in Customer Service, this is the first thing I always looked for in team player. On the other hand the front desk team for the day shift, they did everything correct, they just need to smile more.

Room Tip: Park across the street if you can It's cheaper.

You don't get what you pay for here- parking and internet are not included, the bar/restaurant is poor, there is a noisy air purifier in the room that makes the room smell like chlorine, but no fridge or microwave! Only one vending machine for 26 floors. There was never a concierge on duty, the staff were not helpful in helping us find a restaurant or things to do. No toiletries in the room except basic shampoo, conditioner & lotion. Pool, but no hot tub. Would have been acceptable for a Super 8 stay, not for $200+

Let me start by saying that the front desk staff was very friendly and recongized by loyalty as a Platinum and the rooms/location of this hotel is great however one of the reasons I chose this hotel was to take advantage of the Club lounge and after looking forward to having a snack and a beverage after a looooooong day at work I was told that they do not open the lounge on Fridays.

You would think the hotel would at least give you a voucher to have a beverage at the bar and at least a discount coupon for the restaurant but not, all I got was a sorry Club loung evening snacks not served on Fridays, you are more than welcome to get a coke or a water at the lounge.

If this will be the way hotel wants to operate that lounge there needs to be some kind of communication in advance at least for their high valued customer.

Other than that love the location and at least thankgoodness there were many restaurant options within the area

Room Tip: Dont book on Fridays if you are expecting to take advantage of the Club lounge hot snacks and bevera...

Stayed to run the Phila half-marathon. It was overbooked! (Being near the race start/finish is important, so another hotel wouldn't have been nearly as good. Fortunately I arrived early enough to get a room. I don't get it -- you pay to get a guaranteed room. If you don't show up, you still get charged, whether or not they actually have the room. And they can fill up, not have a room for you. Something is very wrong here...)

It was crowded, and there was a huge line to check in. The floor in our hall was filthy, with obvious dropped food, and stayed that way all weekend in spite of our bringing this to their attention. Also, there was a college tour in the same hotel, and the room accross the hall had an all-night party -- noisy in spite of our complaining. Not conducive to sleep. (How hard is it to reserve several floors for runners who are all on early schedules)? No safe in the room - just at the lobby. Slow elevators.

Only good thing is that it is near the marathon start and the people at the desk were as nice as they could be.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, Wednesday, December 11. I received a large conrner room which was nice but far from the elevator. I wanted to heat up some water to make a cup of tea but the coffee machine looked dusty/dirty. Also the blow dryer in the bathroom had a layer of dust on it as well. Although the rest of the room seemed fine, I wonder when was the last time someone did a thorough cleaning....

Room Tip: A higher room should get a good view of the city.
