“Just back from several days”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Ok, spent almost a week there with 3 children. The pluses are:
1.Great staff, very helpful super friendly, the entire time went out of their way for us.
2.Very clean- I am picky. First thing I do when I enter a room is the old bed test, yes I pick up the sheets, check thoroughly for bed bugs, check bathroom cleanliness. If it doesn't meet my approval I am willing to check out asap. The room was clean, very clean and was kept up well entire stay.
The negatives:
1. The food- well here is where it's tricky, it's inconsistent. We had a couple of pretty decent meals, but then a couple of not too great meals. I guess it just depends on who is in the kitchen cooking at the time. After the two bad meals we opted to dine out rest of time. BUT the wait staff very friendly and on top of things.
2. Super busy- Which is good for them but bad for you if you need an elevator on weekend or your car pulled up, just be prepared to give it time. We figured that out and when we needed car would call a good 30 min ahead of time to have it brought around. The place is busy with weddings and conventions so this is to be expected.
3. The pool is great, but chilly. We weren't sure why, it is a small room ,would have been nice if it were a bit warmer. But again pool area was clean
Overall I recommend and will stay again, because it's clean and staff is nice.

“Decent hotel, nice location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

This hotel is pretty good choice for Center City Philly. The location is pretty good. Right next to City Hall, walking distance to tons of stuff. The hotel itself is just ok though. Average rooms and service. Nothing really stood out from a lot of other hotels I have stayed at in Center City. As long as the price is right, this place would be a good choice.

“ok room - check your bill for parking problems”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

I attended a meeting being held at this Hotel. It is not typically a hotel I would stay at and this stay did not do anything to change my opinion.

First - the room rate was high and it seems that everything is an add on - no breakfast or parking.included. The Parking was $45 per night (for 2 nights). This cost was more than the dinner I had at a fancy downtown restaurant. To add insult to this injury, they they added the parking charges to my bill four time (three times for the second night). I do not like having to supply the quality control on a hotel's room bill. When it was questioned, the young lady behind the desk couldn't figure out which set of charges were correct and which ones to remove. She needed the claim check to sort it out.

The room was clean and functional. The bed was comfortable and there was no shortage of pillows. The bathroom was clean. I was disappointed in the maintenance of the other furniture in the room. The left arm of the desk chair was falling off. It just required the tightening of two bolts to fix, if the housekeep staff had picked up on it. The curtians were thin and the closing rods were difficult to pull.

Thank you for your comments and feedback on a recent visit with us. I am glad to read of the positive feedback regarding the room and bathroom. Please accept my sincere apology regarding the furniture in the room. I have shared your comments and our findings with both the engineering and housekeeping departments so that we improve the inspection of rooms prior to occupancy. We also realize that parking options in Philadelphia can be expensive especially adding in the services of Valet. Thank you again for your feedback. We look forward to your next visit soon.

“Fantastic place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

This hotel was a brilliant find, booked over the internet, so although we had read lot's of reviews we still weren't sure what to expect!!! Location was excellent, check in was easy only took a few minutes, staff very friendly and helpful!! Rooms very spacious, spotlessly clean, free wifi, coffee making facilities!! They have their own Starbucks, restaurant and bar with good atmosphere!! If we visited Philadelphia again we would for sure stay here.

“Good Rooms with a Parking Debacle”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

After moving from the Doubletree down the street to here, I finally got some sleep. This property is much more like a Marriott than the traveler's Courtyard, as it is in a really nice building with a restaurant, bar and Starbucks downstairs.

My only complaint was the parking, what a mess. Not only did it cost $50 a day, it took at least 30 minutes to get your car, and I mean every bit of that 30 minutes. It really was annoying if you needed your car and didn't plan for it 30 minutes out.

The hotel was busy, there were a lot of people there, but at least I slept well.
