“Relaxing Spring Getaway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

What a relaxing last minute spring break vacation. The staff are so friendly and helpful. With two young kids, we took advantage of the minature golf, rode our bikes each day from the hotel to the trails near town, found close hiking trails and walked everywhere for great meals. The highlight was the FABULOUS spa treatment at the end of the day while the kids hung out with the wonderful Miss Emily in the Cub Club, no extra charge! They wanted to go at the end of every day to play air hockey, do crafts, watch movies. We didn't even miss the snow. Highly recommend!

I was recently in Mammoth for a quick work trip and lucked out by staying at the Sierra Nevada Resort. The hotel is great (the bed was extremely comfortable) and really conveniently located - an easy walk to Roberto's (great Mexican food) and Schat's Bakery for a coffee in the morning on the way to the mountain. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Mammoth area, I will definitely be back.

Dear Michael S,

Thank you for taking the time to post this spectacular feedback from your recent work trip to Mammoth Lakes and your stay at Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa – where we are very proud to say we offer more luxuries than any other room in town. In addition to the wonderful amenities you mentioned, we also offer the only spa within a lodging property in the neighborhood; a historic wood bar, pool table, and computer station in our very sociable lobby; a swimming pool; property-wide WiFi; 3 wonderful onsite restaurants; 4 lively bars; an onsite ski and snowboard rental shop; a dry sauna and steam room and mini golf.

We are so pleased your expectations were surpassed and you enjoyed your experience with us. We look forward to your return!

Stayed here in April for a 4 day ski break. We were upgraded to a chalet which meant a full kitchen, fireplace and very comfortable bedroom - our daughter slept on the sleeping sofa in the living room. The staff really made us feel welcome, the facilities were excellent - particulary the kids club and the mini golf. The Resort is in the old part of Mammoth which has real charm and real shops etc. Far far better than the soul-less Mammoth Village which looks and feels like a mall. There is a great thrift store nearby which a large selection of skiing equipment and clothing.

Alan C,
Thank you for this glowing review of your ski weekend at Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa, the newest and nicest destination resort in Mammoth Lakes. In the past year, we've undergone an extensive renovation project. We've upgraded many of the rooms on our property, including: new heaters, air conditioning, new refrigerators, new furniture, new mattresses, new showers, new sinks, new fixtures, new LED lights, new counters, and real tile. Our fireplace suites now include heated floors, heated toilet seats, and soaking tubs as well.

We are delighted to learn how much you appreciated the results of our efforts, and look forward to providing you with more of our genuine mountain hospitality when you return!

Thank you,
GM

If you've ever played any of the Bethesda Fallout games, this place will totally remind you of them, particularly New Vegas. Decor is a very tasteful mix of 1940's - 50's elegance and nostalgia, without being kitschy--they pull off vintage with class and style for sure. They rooms are nicely appointed and the bathrooms were spacious and nice.

I was hiking part of the JMT and PCT to Ediza and Thousand Island Lake, and my dog needed vet treatment, so we came off the trail and booked a last-minute reservation on the way back from Agnew Meadows. I was VERY pleased at the affordability for a last minute booking in mid-June.

The shower was hot and stayed hot. The bathrooms are nicely updated. The bed was definitely comfortable after spending 4 days in the backcountry.

Pet friendly was a plus--but you really have to walk your dog around to find a good spot for business. Make sure you bring something with to clean up because the area around the place is definitely urban.

Only drawback was that the hot tub closes at 10 pm, but not enough for me to rate it down from "excellent" to "very good." In fact, it's for the best so that others can rest. You can hang out if you're quiet, but no soothing jets--the system is definitely on lock down after 10. It does stay hot though.

There are discounts available at the front desk for the adjacent restaurant and generally you don't have to ask as the clerk will provide them for you at check in, but if not, then ask. They are very friendly.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I will be back to do this backcountry trip again.

On a last minute whim my brother and I decided we wanted to ski for a few days. Crap, what about a place to stay? Thankfully Quart helped us out. She's amazing! So friendly and even gave us a tour of the property, pointing out the many amenities available. She was also a wealth of knowledge regarding the town and really helped us plan our trip.
Back to the resort.... All the staff was friendly and we were greeted with complimentary hot cocoa in the lobby. The fireplace in there is to die for!
We had a deluxe room, which was very clean. The whole resort has this rustic chic appeal, which really makes you feel at home. The beds are nice and firm, and the pillows and sheets are so soft. We really enjoyed having the mini fridge and microwave too. It was perfect for late night snacks. The bathroom was beautiful! Obviously they've done a lot of remodeling throughout the resort. I did hear that their suites have headed toilet seats. You bet the next time I'm out there I'm getting one of those rooms!
We loved being right across the street from the bus stop; complimentary shuttle to the mountain that runs every twenty minutes.
And after a long day on the slopes we'd grab some hot cocoa and unwind in the hot tub. Pure bliss.
One night we also ate at their Asian bistro. I'm an Asian food snob so I'm always skeptical. I really enjoyed the beef and broccoli, which was a recommendation by our server!
Overall, a five star resort. So many amenities that cater to all ages. I'll definitely be back!

I just came back from another AMAZING stay at the Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa this week while taking in some Spring skiing in Mammoth. This has been my third time staying here with my girlfriend and we can honestly say that a major reason we continue to go to Mammoth is because of the staff and the resort itself. The staff here is INCREDIBLE and so helpful that you are wanting for nothing. We absolutely love Kat and Rhonda. Kat is now at their South Lake Tahoe property (which looks incredible. Can't wait to see her/the resort this summer) and Rhonda was the sweetheart that we had the pleasure of dealing with this trip. Rhonda was more than accommodating, polite, and overall an amazing person to meet/get to know. We are very much looking forward to seeing her again and experiencing the fantastic customer service.

The Sierra Nevada Resort makes you feel like you are in Mammoth. I know that sounds obviously, but do you really want to stay at some hotel or run down motel/cabin? No. The resort has such a wonderful, warm, and charming lobby that is so welcoming that you are filled with a cozy feeling from the time you check in and on your return from the ski slopes. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the leather seats, the fire crackling away is enough to put you in a stressless and relaxed mood.

The rooms are equally as cozy as the lobby. We stayed in the Fireplace Suit. My girlfriend and I absolutely LOVE this room. You have a kitchenette that is so convenient with all the amenities of a small kitchen. There is a small dining area as well. The bathroom is fantastic. It includes a large double sink area, large bathtub perfect for a post ski soak, HUGE shower with two heads and a bench that is not only romantic, but again, perfect to relax in, and heated tiled floors for those cold nights. The bed is beyond comfortable with its wonderful mattress and soft sheets/goose down comforter. The fire place is set in front of the bed so wether you're on the extremely comfortable leather lounge chairs or laying in bed, you're going to have the heat reach you. There is also an A/C unit that has a heater as well in case you need it next to a desk. Plenty of storage available as well for all your gear and close. And as a great top off, you get bath robes which were great.

Location. PERFECT. You are within 5-10min of anywhere you want from restaurants to the ski lifts. If it isn't too cold (fall/winter) you can easily walk to most of the places you need to be. There is a free shuttle service to and from the Mammoth Ski lifts as well. Parking is plentiful and right outside your place. Its truly at an amazing spot in Mammoth.

I know this is my third review of the Sierra Nevada Resort, but I can honestly say that it is one of my absolute favorite place to stay. I've travelled extensively throughout Europe and the West Coast of the U.S. and it ranks at the best for its staff, welcomeness, and the location. I can't stress it enough that if you are looking to stay in Mammoth and want the BEST deal out there plus one of the most hospitable and comfortable experiences in Mammoth, you have no better option than the Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa.

Thank you again so much to Kat and Rhonda. You truly made our third stay another memorable and amazing one. We can't wait to be back!

Room Tip: If possible, ask for an upgrade if they are not fully booked to a Fire place suit. All of the rooms...
