“Superior Accommodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

This is the first time we stayed at the Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa. The Resort is magnificent. It is expertly decorated and spotless. Virtually every upgrade is n the room making for a very memorable stay. The spa and kids center is a nice addition to the facility. Overall a very memorable and enjoyable stay!

Room Tip: The suite with the fireplace is outstanding!

Wow! Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa has done a ton of renovations. I used to live in Mammoth Lakes and am now living in San Diego. I came up to Mammoth Lakes on short notice since they got this huge storm.

The Resort looks so much different. They have these really cute wood carved bears around the property and on the front sign when you come in. Don't forget to read the signs/pictures that are throughout the property and the rooms. They have aged them to look rustic. Some of them are hysterical (especially the one by the outdoor jacuzzi).

The bedrooms are incredible. We got a room with two double beds. The freshly renovated room and bathroom were so nice! We had plenty of space. They have a fridge, microwave, in-room safe, iPhone docking station/radio, double-sided light-up make-up mirror, and blow dryer in the rooms. You also get FREE wi-fi. They do a discounted food at Rafter's (right next door).

The beds are super comfy! I slept so well. (If only I could have gotten my friend to stop snoring.) The hot tub is incredible. I missed going to the sauna and steam room but will check it out next time.

I forgot the lady who helped check us in but she was also great! She was funny, nice, and genuinely seemed happy to be there!

I will definitely be back here again and will tell all my friends about the resort.

Thanks for making this weekend so incredible!

Spent 11 nights here in April of 2014. Hotel picked me up at the airport, there and waiting when my flight arrived.

Upon registering was given an upgrade to a great room that included a kitchenette(2 burners, sink, small fridge, pots and pans, utensils etc.), a king sized bed, fireplace, desk, dining table and four chairs and two leather easy chairs. The bath room featured an extra big tub, spacious two head stand alone shower, two sinks, a lighted and heated toilet seat and a heated tile floor.

Staff was all very friendly and accommodating, assisted me with local attractions and in having a new computer shipped to me as mine gave out on day two. Housekeeping took care of everything in the room including my mess from cooking my own breakfast as well as many dinners.

Tried two of the restaurants on property. Rafters a very cool bar, happy hour daily makes it almost reasonably priced but great ambiance and service. Jimmy Taverinos features greek food, again very tasty friendly staff but a bit on the spendy side.

Thoroughly enjoyed my long stay here and will stay here from now on when I come to mammoth.

I've stayed here before over the years since the remodel and this last visit in April was the best. Comfortable rooms, a nice spa, and the great proximity to Rafters and Jimmy's were all pluses for our party of San Diegans looking for a good time.

We were here from Feb 12- 17... Nothing really special to write about. We wanted to take advantage of the Spa but we were told it was booked a month in advance. The shuttle to the mountain only ran twice in the morning, and would not pick us up in the afternoon (good thing for free public transportation). There was a small bar in the lobby, it was quaint. The room was just a bed, spacious, but nothing spectacular. My girlfriend got sick on our second day here, the hotel does not stock pepto bismol or anything like that, so that was messy. Overall it was a hotel, a good place to crash.

We were here January 5-10, and March 2-7, 2014. We are an "over 50" ski club from Orange County, California, and have been staying here for MANY years, and always come in early January and early March. The updates and improvements over the past few years have been spectacular -- never thought it could look this good. This March we stayed in the Chalets - two, back to back, which was ideal for our group of 12. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very personable and we prefer this lodge to others in the area.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are quieter as no one is above jumping and running.

We stayed for two nights and took advantage of the High Sierra Spa Deal and it far exceeded our expectations! The spa is beautiful and relaxing and all the mountain/rustic decor sets the tone perfectly from the sitting area to the steam/sauna to the 'ladies/men changing rooms', it is all wonderful. There was a slight glitch with our reservation, but it was handled expertly and we were taken care of immediately and offered amazing customer service from everyone working in the spa. Our couple massages were top-notch and really got out all the knots and sore spots from a day on the mountain---highly recommend both Donna and Brianna, as they were excellent!
Overall, highly recommend you visit the spa while at Sierra Nevada and stay there as well (beautiful/updated rooms, romantic mountain vibe, perfect place to getaway and close to town and the mountains!)
