“Happy Hour Upstairs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Came at Happy Hour (between 4 to 6PM) on a quiet Tuesday evening (i.e., no Monday Night Football but all the TVs were tuned to ESPN, anyway) with a fair amount of customers. Bartender said we could sit wherever we wished. Menus are already on the tables and had our orders taken promptly with a reasonable wait time. All of the waitstaff we encountered had a good attitude. Great half-price deals on selected items that are underscored on the menu. Opted for a pretty good burger with avocado and beer-battered fries (you have the option of sweet potato fries) while my friend ordered a fried calamari appetizer plate. To make it even more of a "Mammoth experience," we also had tall glasses of the local Mammoth brew.

“Unique & satisfying Happy Hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

We love happy hours! Whiskey creek offers different food options than most happy hours we attend. Selected items (those that are underlined) on the menu are half-price. That means you have a selection of salads, appies, sandwiches, and main courses that are included. Of course there is the alcohol selections, but we mainly stuck with a micro beer, locally brewed (on the premises, I believe). The food servers were upbeat and very polite, and our experience was very good. We went during September, off-season, so the place was not crowded. Whiskey Creek is an assumed stop for us when we are in Mammoth.

“After 15 minutes and no service, we left.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We came for the happy hour. Service was terribly slow and no one even gave us water. After 15 minutes of nothing we left for another restaurant down the street where we were promptly given water and our order was taken. We've visited Whiskey Creek several years ago and had a much better experience but we will probably hesitate before going back again.

“Great location and view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

The food is very good with generous portions. The portobello mushroom sandwich is outstanding (and the light, crispy fries are amazing). Their specialty half chicken is also very delicious and well cooked. If at all possible, try to get a window booth at sunset because the restaurant has a great view of the Mammoth crest.

“Birthday Dinner”

Great food and service at a reasonable price with great views. Always a favorite! Craft beer brewed on site, great clam chowder, seafood, steaks, appetizers all rock mightily!
