“Gourmet restaurant in Mammoth”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

the food is very good and well-prepared. Mushroom crepe appetizer is delicious. I was disappointed that the salmon dish was farmed salmon (not wild) which is not acceptable for a good restaurant and I won't eat farmed fish for health and environmental reasons.

The service is very good but it is slow. The views are great even though this is in a 'strip mall" - highly recommend as there aren't many great restaurants in Mammoth.

“We walked out!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

The only reason we are giving it a single star at all is the servers were very pleasant. We arrived and were seated at 6:45, had a nice glass of wine and then our appetizer. It took 30 minutes after that for us to get the soup special which we both felt was a very uninspiring tomato lentil. We then waited until 8pm, fully an hour and a quarter after we arrived and still had not received our entree. We watched a table of four directly across from us who were seated 15 minutes after us finish their meal and start desert before we decided to just go home.

“Gourmet flavors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Great for an elegant meal with a scenic view. We've never been disappointed. After a exhausting day on the slopes or climbing trails, we love being able to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine, great food, and 5-star service at Skadi.

“This is the place !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Been to many other great restaurants from NY to SF to New Orleans and Skadi is the best. I always thought it was in the top rank so we have been coming for many years. But last New Years Eve I brought a party of seven and we had the most amazing meal. We all ordered different entrees and yet we all agreed it was the most delicious and perfect dinner we have ever enjoyed. And we have been fortunate enought to have had a good share of great meals to compare it with. From the appetizer to the dessert it was outstanding. So, raising a glass to you, Ian and your great team, thank you and Happy New Year!

“Good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

As a visiting Australian I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Food was good, server friendly and had a good knowledge of local USA wines. Was noisy and although booking over a month earlier for 5 pax, and confirmed the day of the booking, they still had to make up a table, and were grumpy about it.
