“Lovely place to stay and an ideal location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2011

I booked this hotel recently to break up the journey from San Francisco to Las Vegas. It is a lovely little budget hotel and the staff are really nice. John at the front desk gave us lots of information on things to do in the area. The breakfast is basic but pretty good, cereals, muffins, toast, fresh fruit and drinks. There is also coffees, teas and juice available all day which is a bonus. The location is great, right on the main street of Mammoth. The Gondola ride to the top of the mountain is well worth a visit and also head to the Rainbow Falls on the bus....it's a great day out.
Overall, the Travelodge is an excellent hotel, in a great location. Well worth a visit.

The room was clean, and average. The service at the registration was excellent and helpful. The breakfast was acceptable. But the jacuzzi and the billiard salon is funny...
Not so far from the citycenter (15 minutes walk).

Manager was great, room rate was great, rooms were big, and we got there late and the manager even turned on the heater for us. Breakfast was good and the kids slept good. Close to Yosemite.

stayed here one night driving from death valley to yosemite. Main road closed through Yosemite so gentleman working there helped us find other routes. Recommended Bodie a ghost town, which we loved. Room Comfy but basic, for the price was fine. breakfast was decent and got us on our way.

Firstly I'd like to say the manager is exceptionally polite, courteous, and helpful. Can't fault the guy, you'd choose him as a friend. The hotel on the other hand, truly awful. The pillows stank of sweat... Repulsive. I used a dirty shirt as a pillow case and it smelled cleaner! The beds are rock hard, I woke up in pain, first time ever, and the room smelled awful, as if someone had been smoking in it and they'd used shake n vac to disguise it. It was disgusting. Despite booking for two nights, we left after the first. Avoid like the plague...

We stayed here after driving from Yosemite at night. There hotel is in need of a make over very old and run down. It was the cheapest in the area and as it was just a place to stay for the night before the drive to Las Vegas so it served a purpose. there was free use of the internet which was a plus, breakfast was included which was OK. The person that was on the desk was nice.

Although we got an advanced purchase deal so got a great rate for the Hotel As soon as we arrived I regretted the fact it was a no cancellation deal. The lace is BADLY in need of a LOT of TLC. Carpets in rooms are filthy, and the place in general coulddo with a good steam clean. We had a faulty Toilet which we were told to hold down the handle to make it work,it didn't. We moved rooms. Breakfast was rubbish as well. My advice is not to stay here whatever the price.
