“Filthy bathrooms, bad service and no English!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

I've been to the bakery section of this place a few times. The breads were mediocre and the lines were long. Last week I finally decided to try their famous turkey sandwiches. People in Mammoth have mentioned them favorably for years. I went in and there was one man in front of us. There were two women behind the counter. Both were trying to understand the man's order. He was the one who spoke fluent English and they were the ones struggling to comprehend one word. Why aren't they hired service people who speak and understand English!??

We waited 15 minutes or this one man to get his sandwich. While waiting I noticed how dirty the seating area was. Nothing had been cleaned, there were napkins on the floor, the tables hadn't been bussed and it was just plain nasty.

Finally it was my turn to order. Again the ladies had no conception of what I was saying and to top it off, they were RUDE. How hard is to to make a "turkey sandwich on sourdough." Nothing fancy, nothing extra! The two women then started talking in their language in front of me and after 5 minutes hadn't bothered to begin to make a sandwich which should have taken 3 minutes, tops.

I walked out and will not be back. Horrible experience, waste of time.

“Great little lunch spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

Really good fresh pastrami and turkey. Friendly staff. Let us do two half sandwiches - one of each type of meat. The pastrami was outstanding! Simple decor, nothing fancy. Bakery items looked amazing!

“Average to Good Bakery - Pricy and very bad service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

This is the right (only?) place to find decent bread in Mammoth.
I recommend their croissant, not for breakfast but for lunch, to make your own sandwich , you can add your ham, cheese, salad, put that in your back pack and you'll be the happiest skier/snowboarder during the break.
Their price are way too high for the quality (de-frozen stuff most of the time) and their service is horrible.

Charming bakery that has a great selection! Didn't get to sit down in restaurant but seemed very nice.
