“New hotel????”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2011 via mobile

Considering this is a brand new hotel, it should be amazing but it is not. Ok to stay if you are going to Dorney Park but it is not kid friendly at all. They cannot walk into food court. There is no arcade. There is a pool but it is freezing! If you call the front desk they will tell you that it is heated to 80. However, as owner of a pool company, they're lying. It is only at about 60 degrees. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money here. Here over to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. The slots pay, it is kid friendly, the pool is nice and the hotel is amazing! Lots of gambling, shops and restaurants, an arcade
and fun for the entire family To enjoy!!!

I make my comparison to the ammenities found at Casino Hotels in Atlantic City. There's just something(s) missing. It would be like expecting a stay at a full service Marriott and being given a room at a Courtyard by Marriott in its place. Not a bad place to stay, a good night's sleep, but not what you paid for. Yes, the room was clean and in excellent condition (expected since it just opened 3 weeks ago) but...

-as mentioned by another reviewer, the road signs are confusing and lead you to the casino rather than the hotel entrance.

-there is no "grand" entrance / lobby, but a simple side door and a small lobby with 3 check in "desks" with chairs in front of them. Once working, the express check-in will be a nice feature.

-the public areas and halls have a bare look to them - plain painted with a very occasional picture here and there. Perhaps they were striving for a "minimalist" interior design, but took it a little too far. This contrasts to the casino where the interiors are very creative.

-the rooms are even more bare. They look like all the furniture didn't arrive yet. One picture and a mirror are it for wall accessories. A small lounge type chair is included but no foot rest. There is a place for a refrigerator but it's not there. The bathroom is particularly disappointing- with a small sink outside of the actual bathroom - not the large room with a big vanity that most resorts offer. To give credit, there is a large high def TV with ports for connecting up your computer / DVD, etc.

-as far as non-casino activities, there is a very small and cold swimming pool that looks like it was added as an after thought - doors blocked off by landscaping make it seem this room was originally intended as the entrance to the currently unfinished events center. Another small room with a few treadmills and weights isn't beyond what you would find at any average hotel constructed today. Most Casino resorts include a true Spa area, where you can lounge out, get spa treatments / massages, etc. This is far from it. There are no restaurants within the hotel per se - you have to head to the casino area to get to the closest one. There is a nice complimentary continental breakfast included however.

I would not tell anyone not to stay here...just know what to expect when you arrive. The new shopping area that opens in a few months and may bring some more life to the hotel. Ditto for the events center. It's too bad that the hotel specifications were scaled back from what it was originally intended to be...it could have been a truly unique destination for this region.

Food Horrible-Amenties Nice :)

When driving in the signs to the Hotel divert you to the casino valet. Seems like I wasn't the only person to have this issue. You would think the Valet would see our luggage and make a comment. So we proceeded to walk through the casino. (no big deal)

I requested a late checkout (Sunday Morning) To order a overpriced 110.00 room service for 2 people. They only granted 30 more minutes. The food gave everyone gas pain's for 2 days.

Casino is very nice..Fail on the hotel service and logistics though

Straight and to the point
