“Truly golden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We went there during sunset and came back at dusk. Really beautiful. The whole place has been carved by water. Colors are very rich and beautiful. Go to the end of the canyon if you can. Perfect for picture taking.

“Worth the hike with children”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Time: Visit in winter is nice because it is not too hot/cold
Difficult level: easy
Length: +/- 1mile. Add 0.25 mile to see red cathederal canyon
My children really enjoy the hike
Bring water bottle when you go to public bathroom. There is no basin/water
When I walked about half a mile, I feel like never ending to reach the destination. However, it is not that far actually

It's several hike trails inside, to finish whole trails, may take half day (5.5 to 8 miles), don't miss sunrise or sunset there, it's beautiful with sunlight. Bring water bottle and camera. hike before May.

“Fun Hike / A little scary, but very doable”

Awesome hike with wonderful views. Can hike down Gowers Gulch or head on a longer hike to Zabriske Point. Do it!

“Go after 3 P.M.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

And get a ranger talk if you can so you can learn about what you are seeing. The ranger walks with you into the canyon about 1/4
mile, but you can walk a lot further on your own. We loved it.
