“Good Food, Good value, Eat Healthy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

All First Watch restaurants are similar - I have eaten at the one on Cortez Rd in Bradenton. The menu choices are good, They have a Healthy Selection, and prices are mostly under $10.
They Serve Breakfast and Lunches (Not Dinner, nor do they plan to). Get on their Breakfast Club list and you can recieve monthly discount Coupons good for $2 off meals on Weekdays.

“Great Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2012

Love their breakfast. They have a great selection so everyone is happy. I love their breakfast crepes with fresh fruit, yoghurt and a muffin, my husband loves the French toast and the sausages. The staff are always so nice and friendly, good prices.

“Very good breakfast/lunch; extensive breakfast menu; bright, cheerful ambience; friendly efficient staff; great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2012

The Bradenton Lakewood First Watch restaurant offers really great value breakfast, brunch, lunch... without sacrificing quality or quantity.

The indoor ambience is bright and cheerful; a combination of booths and tables seating a guesstimated 100 - 125 guests. There is also a small outdoor area with three or four tables each seating at most 4 or 5 people. The breakfast menu is truly extensive, and after multiple visits to try out a variety of the items, we have never been disappointed. Of course the menu the includes the usual "traditional" "your choice of eggs" breakfast with seasoned roasted potatoes, choice of meats, and toast or English Muffin. But the emphaisis is on imaginative offerings... interesting omelets, multiple versions of Eggs Benedict, multiple versions of multigrain pancakes, crepes, skillet combinations, waffles, French toast, etc., etc. The menu also offers a number of creative, very tasty "Healthier Side" offerings.

On our most recent breakfast visit the special of the day was Farmhouse Chicken Hash a skillet consisting of a layer of seasoned diced potatoes roasted with red bell pepper, onion, zucchini and chunks of chicken, topped with two eggs "your choice of style", topped with pesto hollandaise sauce. Accompanied by a small mannikin of fresh fruit and an English Muffin. All for $8.59 Everything cooked to perfection, including the numerous pieces of chicken which were tender and tasty... done just right.

The lunch menu cosists of salads, Soup of the Day, a variety of interesting sandwiches (but also including traditional Reuben Sandwich), chicken quesadillas, burgers, veggie burgers, etc.

The service is cheerful and efficient. All of the staff look as if they really enjoy working there. The kitchen is sufficiently staffed so that orders arrive quickly. Very good coffee. Nice touch is that if coffee is ordered, then the cups of coffee come with a sizable insulated coffee pot for easy refills throughout the meal. If water is requested, then it comes accompanied with a pitcher of ice-cubed water for easy refills. Bacon comes "really crispy" if requested... really crispy and tasty, not dry or burnt.

Reservations not accepted. On busy mornings, there can be a waiting time of 10 - 15 minutes. But well worth the wait... for taste and for value..
