“A wonderful winery and vineyard visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

My wife and I visited this winery in January. Rosa and Heather are absolutely wonderful people who make everyone feel welcomed. Heather took us on a tour of the vineyards and we learned about the different types of grapes that they grow, the qualities of the grapes, and the types of wines produced by each grape. We also visited the wine room where the grapes are brought after harvest, learned about the wine-making and aging process, and saw their hand bottling machine. We purchased the $18.95 Italian Sub lunch which included an Italian sub and green salad for lunch that was served in the vineyard's pavilion after we finished our tour of the vineyard. During lunch, Heather guided us through a flight of 9 wine samplings and we got to keep the wine glasses. Being from NY, we have toured many wineries on Long Island and in the Finger Lakes region. All of them are typically a tasting room. Not so at Rosa Fiorelli Vineyard. They take you into the vineyards where you learn about their grapes, wines, and art of wine making. A very informative winery/vineyard tour!

“A Sicilian Winery in western Florida”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

A highlight "find" on this Florida trip. Took Florida relatives who never knew the place existed to discover the vineyard and winery. Did the wine tasting. Too much mescadine grape comes through despite blending efforts. One expert reviewer exclaimed that one particular wine was fine on the nose, but the taste of gasoline at the palate in the after-effect was just too much. A nice ride into the Florida countryside. Wine was priced above its value for money; we spent several hundreds of dollars and distributed the bottles amongst friends and family. My wife ended up with a couple bottles of Noble Red which she acquired a taste for over the visit. Think we pricked the arrogance and pretentions of some in our party who will only drink French, Italian, and California vintages. A side trip for the curious.

“Definitely worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

It is about 40 minutes drive from Anna Maria island. For the cost of only $10 per adult, my wife and I had a good time tasting different wines and our girls got to tour the vineyard and see how the wines were made and bottled. Everyone was extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions. Even though it is a small winery, it's worth a stop if you're ever in the area.

“Way out East but worth the drive.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

If you live in Bradenton it is a ride to this Winery out East but it is worth it. It is family owned and the people are so friendly. Great wine tastings and they are not overly priced for a great bottle of wine.

“Yes, a real winery in Florida!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

My wife and I had a lovely time here. The owners, Antonio and Rosa Fiorelli pride themselves on making wine from only grapes grown on their Florida vineyard. And yes, the wines are both interesting and very good. The wine tasting is free, a 30-40 minute tours costs $10 each and is well worth it. This is a tiny winery by California standards but our tour guide, Maria, was knowledgeable and interesting and led us through the wine making process and the vineyard. The wine tasting was fun and we ended up buying three bottles, all reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.
