We go to Austin's about once every few months. Wesit at the bar when Carmen is working to enjoy a good drink, fun conversation and good food at reasonable prices and fair size portions. On our last visit we ordered the Prime Rib. Used to be smoked and I really enjoyed the "wood fired" flavor smoking the meat imparted. When I asked the manager about the change I was told some patrons didn't like the smokiness of the meat so they changed to just roasting the Prime Rib and it seemd to lack any seasoning. In my opinion, if you are presenting yourself as a "Wood Fired Grill" then the food should taste like it was cooked on a wood fire grill.
We really enjoy the staff and service but this change to the preperation of the dish we come for has diminished our satisfaction. We'll go back, just not as often
