“Fine for a night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

The room was basic and had all we needed. It smelled very strongly of stale cigarettes. Breakfast was standard comfort inn fare, and filled us up, however I would like to see comfort inn move away from disposable crockery and cutlery, or use biodegradable item as a minimum. The hotel is close to the dinosaur museum, and on the same side of the highway as the colorado national monument.

We found this hotel to be very clean, quiet, and comfortable. More importantly, the Front Desk Clerk Staci was very helpful to us going above and beyond the call of duty by helping us with a broken down vehicle. She is the one who made sure we were taken care of by the mechanic shop and tow company. She even helped us with a ride back to the mechanic shop in Grand Junction. It is very rare to come across a person that would go out of their way to help someone outside of their work station duties. She is definitely a gem to us and an asset to the Comfort Inn establishment. We will definitely stay here again because of Staci.

Room Tip: There isn't a restaurant on the premises, but there are restaurants close by.

Average does not mean good just average for Comfort Inn. No exercise room. Basic hot breakfast eggs, sausage and waffles. Compared to Super 8s it was very good. They has yogurt, fruit, and cereals. No herbal tea for breakfast. Hallway beadle need shampooing. Room was pretty good. Desk person appeared to have flu, should have stayed home, but at the wages businesses pay maybe she could not afford to, I understand. Nice pool and spa area, but covered which did not seem inviting.

This hotel seems very old. The carpets have bleached spots and look very unapealing. The breakfast displayed a decent variety of food, but the waffle maker and other utensils seem very old and like they've been used forever! The tray that was used underneath the machine was lopsided, and made it difficult to use. The eggs looked like cat puke that had been reheated the following day. The poor girl that was in charge of running the front desk had to continuously run back and forth to the breakfast room, as she seemed to be in charge of maintaining both areas. I feel bad for her. Most choice hotels I have stayed at in the past have their own separate breakfast attendant. Guests seemed frustrated with her that the front desk girl was occupied doing the breakfast activities when they were checking out. We also had extreme difficulty with the key cards, which we had to get made at least three times in two days. It was terrible. If this hotel has any chance to make it, they definitely need to invest in some nice furniture, appliances, and carpeting. And probably consider hiring a breakfast attendant!

Room Tip: If you like disorganization, you'll love it here!

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice tile floor in bathroom with intact wallpaper, not brand new but none of the worn out look that you sometimes get in motels. Fresh. Friendly desk staff. Indoor pool and small (5 1/2 x 7ft) hot tub, again, clean and tidy. Very quiet. Good continental breakfast with lots of choices. I liked it. Saved $30 over that La Q across the parking lot where the staff acted like they were doing me a favor to talk to me. Will stay again.

We traveled for many hours before reaching our reserved room at this Comfort Inn. We have found that the quality of the Choice Hotels varies greatly - even with the same category, such as Confort Inn. This property is very clean, comfortable, and pleasant to enjoy after a long day trip. We are very happy that we chose this property.

I hihghly recoimmend reading reviews before making reservations with the Choice Hotels. This Comfort Inn is wonderful. Yet, we stayed at a Quality Inn & Suites in Cottonwood, AZ that was horrific! Dirty, "warm" jacuzzi, minimal breakfast, etc. The reviews mean a lot. (I was desperate at the last minute for a stay in AZ, and look what happened!)

Great job, Fruita, CO Comfort Inn. Thank you.

Nicely run place, very friendly staff, good price and great location when traveling with a dog. We will definitely stay here again. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Lots of grassy spots and open areas for walking the dog. Breakfast set up included hot and cold items.

Room Tip: we were on the side away from the highway with a nice view and very quiet.
