“Must see if you are in Grand Junction/Fruita”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2010

We had been through the area many times, but this was the first occasion we had enough time to visit the Monument.

The scenery is great. Definitely as beautiful as the parks in Utah. If we had a little more time, we would have done a hike. October was a great time to go for the colors of the trees. The weather was still nice enough to enjoy the area.

We will definitely go back to enjoy it again.

“Very impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2010

We enjoyed this National Park very much. It was nice to drive in at one entrance and go out another so we didn't travel the same road twice. There are lots of places to stop and take great photos. The visitor centre was very good and we ate a picnic lunch at the tables there. Very good value at $7.

“Don't miss it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2010

Spectacular drive and scenery. We drove it our last morning on our way out. It took about 2 or 3 hours. We stopped at every pull-off and took pictures. The road is very curvey and if you are proned to motion or car sickness --be careful. I wish we would have had time to do some of the hikes, maybe next time.

We were hesitant to go because it had been raining that morning, but decied to go anyway, and I am glad we did. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Awesome views and easy to drive. Make sure you take your camera!

“Nice-but don't go out of your way”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2010

If you have been to the National parks in Utah, this will be a disappointment, but it is worth a visit. The drive is cheap ($7) and takes about two hours, if you stop at about half of the lookouts and take the hike behind the visitor's center. If you are afraid of heights and you don't want to drive on the side of the drop offs, you want to travel from Fruita to Grand Junction or enter the park on the west side.
