Not being a history nut I didn't think the historic area of Yorktown would hold much interest, but being on the water with tall ships in the harbor made it really nice.
The historic homes were interesting in architecture and stopping by the visitor center to get some information got me more interested in the stories of some of the homes than I would've thought.
Parking was free which seemed like a nice perk and it wasn't over-commercialized as much of that area is, so we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the free trolley ride to various locations. The views were great from many of them.
