“Fun and educational”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

My third grader loved talking to the costumed soldiers and the doctor at the encampment. Money well spent for helping to foster and new found love of history in my little one. Bravo, Yorktown.

“Fantastic historic site, as part of Homeschool Days”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We visited Yorktown as part of a homeschool group. We did one day at Jamestown, and one day at Yorktown. Our children (ages 8-12) thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learned a lot. The interactive nature of this site made history come alive for them, as they explored life in a Revolutionary village, and saw the encampment on the river. We spent our nights at Great Wolf Lodge, making this a wonderful little Fall get away.

“A must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

This place was awesome! I cannot wait to see what they add when the construction is over. This place has to be my favorite of the 3 (Jamestown, Williamsburg, & Yorktown). Everyone was VERY nice and VERY informative. The place was a lot better then Jamestown. The canon demonstration is a must see!

“Living History and a Museum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

The Yorktown Victory Center is currently under construction, but this does not disrupt the living history or museum. My 2 year old daughter was more interested in the living history at Jamestown Settlement than Yorktown Victory Center. The rest of my family enjoyed the firing of the canon demonstration which lasted about 30 minutes. The people in the living history were more talkative at the Yorktown Victory Center than the Jamestown Settlement. The museum was nice, but not as large as the Jamestown Settlement.
