“Echo Canyon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2012

My husband and I went for an evening. We were expecting a Bed and Breakfast. Not so much. It had more of a motel feel. Our room was not stocked. We were told when we checked in that we could get things out of the kitchen to stock our refrigerator. When we did this the owner came in and made us feel like we were stealing.

We made an appointment for a couple's massage. We mistakingly read the price as $120 a couple. It is $240 a couple!!! This might be acceptable if we were in the most luxurious spa. This place did not have a spa. It had a room with two massage tables. The massage was nice and did involve hot stones but the massages were in no way worth that much money!

It says on the website that the restaurant is 5 star dining. It is good food but not an upscale restaurant by any means.

The staff was not very proffesional and we were never made to feel very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the scenery pretty. Our room was in not worth the $269 we paid for it. There were not really any nature trails to go on and explore the area. We much prefer other places. Please just be aware of what to expect before staying here!

Please read every other review on trip advisor than the May 7th comment BedandBreakfast .com rates us the best on there website with alot more reviews than trip advisor. We also post on our website reviews daily from our guest book, they are verbatum from our guests Our spa has 5 treatment rooms, all set up with 2 massage tables or treatment chairs, we have a guest kitchen in the original bandb with fruit, drinks , snacks. Our restaurant is second to none in the state of Oklahoma, we probably have a 95% customer return, so come and enjoy. Joe&CarolVanHorn Owners

Spent a wonderful weekend here! From the moment we arrived until we sadly left, everything was perfect. Each detail was taken care before we could think of it. Our room was in the manor and big enough for us to gather with others in our group and talk comfortably. The bed was so comfortable and the in room hot tub was divine! We only ate breakfast but thought the food was really tasty and quite filling. We had a blast in the bar at night and the grounds were so beautifully done. Loved the dogs that roam the place. Take time to explore the area as there is much to be discovered. Loved our visit and hope to be back

This B&B is wonderful! The room we stayed in was decorated so beautifully and had a good view (Chardonay Chalet). The main house was very comfortable and the hosts kept snacks and beverages for guests 24/7. We had supper in the Baron of Beef restaurant and the food was absolutely wonderful with an excellent view. We saw wild turkey in the morning at breakfast, which was also yummy. We didn't get any spa treatments, but the Aloha Spa building was nice inside as well and there was a bar and comfy couches to hang out on. Overall, this was an awesome place for our 11th anniversary and I would recommend it to everyone!

My husband and I take an anniversary trip every year, but this year, we didn't have much time to take off. In 90 minutes, we were in one of the most beautiful B&B's we've ever visited. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are fabulous and the food is amazing! Be prepared for ALOT of gourmet food for each meal, they really feed you. The owners have a garden and all the food is prepared fresh, including the sauces, much of which is made with fresh fruit.

In a short 24 hours, we had 2 great meals, a highly recommended couples massage, (Jason and Gina were excellent!) and enough R&R to be refreshed for work on Monday.

Echo Canyon is a family owned business, Carol and Joe are genuinely sweet and interested in each guest having a great experience. They are building another cabin and hopefully the pool will be ready soon. I can't forget to mention the family dogs, they were fun, very cool and relaxed! We plan to visit again in the Fall when the leaves change.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ladies, make sure you pack comfortable shoes. The paths are rocky so wearing heels is not a great id...

After recommendation from a friend, spent a special birthday weekend at this terrific place. We did not know what to fully expect and were shocked at such a beautiful resort hidden in the Chickasaw National Park area. The grounds and rooms are very nice. The food is terrific-- better than most restaurants in the big city, spa is relaxing, and the Van Horns (and rest of staff) definitely make you feel at home!.
The bill was bigger than expected--bar drinks and meal upgrades can add up, but it is worth it! There is not alot to do in the immediate area, but we did take a few small excursions to the Bedre Candy factory, Rusty Nail Wine Boutique, and a casino-- all with very welcoming and friendly staff. We plan on coming back in the summer to see everyone again and utilize that boat and pool !

A friend and I wanted a spa getaway and choose Echo Canyon because everything was in one place. We got much more than we hoped for. The rooms were great, the spa was awesome and the food was superb. If you go here and don't eat, you are making a big mistake. I would highly recommend this for a friends spa day or romantic weekend.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast on the edge of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Rooms are large with unique furniture and gorgeous views. Hiking trails are minutes away and the innkeeper is helpful with maps and tips. Breakfast was divine and filling. Homemade pancakes and waffles served with preserves made on site with their orchard fruit. Spicy Eggs are fantastic.
Each room has its own full size jacuzzi tub.
We opted for the onsite dinner which was over the top with three proteins and delicious fresh vegetables. Service was courteous and friendly.
