What a fun place to spend an afternoon! All kinds of quaint little shop, eateries with a spectacular view of the marina. A must if in the area...

“Don't miss the pottery shop!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Most of the shops are very touristy, but it's a good place to get beach toys and other things to occupy the kids. Don't miss the pottery shop, which carries works only by local artists. It's a real gem.

“A Bunch of Restaurants in a marina”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

So, we thought this was going to be more than it is. There are a ton of restaurnats of all types, seafood, greek, sandwiches, etc. plus some tourist trap souvenir places. We were very disappointed. It is very pretty and nice to see the marina, but in all honesty, not at all worth the trek. Stay in the town of Ventura, walk the Ventura Pier and stay put.

“Ventura Harbor Village”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

I visited Ventura Harbor Village in April this year.
My hubby and I are from Southern New Mexico, so it was
a nice change to the Desert feeling. We loved all the boats,
the nice flowers and the gardens around the shops and
restaurants. The beach is nearby and not cowded, what is
a big plus. I've booked Ventura for the upcoming month
of June to enjoy beaches and restaurants in this area again.
I would recommend the town of Ventura for a 7 day vacation
and some relaxation. That's why I will be back to this part
of California.

“A fun day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Lots to see here. Many restaurants and shops. Harbor tours, boat repair yard, seafood store where fish is straight off the boat. Bring the kids, lots to do with them. A very long sidewalk along the shore where you can enjoy the sights. Go across the street- and there is PRISTINE BEACH. Bring the dog too. I think you will like this. So I'm saving this for last- Eat at Andria's Seafood restaurant. Try the Bread Chowder Bowl, or- fish and chips. Upgrade to Halibut and chips, and you are in for a good time. Get there before 3PM when the crowd shows up. Rain or shine, this is hard to beat.
