“Dark beer and Chocolate Tamales”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Sometimes you look for that chocolate edge that is over the edge.
Pairing Surf Brewery's Porter or Dark Ale with a Chocolate Tamale from the Escabeche food truck outside can be sway the most jaded chocoholic this Valentine's Day.

“Delicious beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

I really enjoyed learning more about the different beers that are out there and had some great beers to drink at this place. Local people we met at the bar were pleasant and informed us of good local places to check out. I look forward to returning to this place.

“Great Micro Brewery In Ventura”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

This new Brewery located in an industrial park, only open a tad more than a year, doesn't look like much from the outside but has a great atmosphere inside. It is like a Surf Sports Bar with several screens showing incredible rides and wipe-outs!!! Add old long boards and murals and you get the picture. It has suds for every tase bud. They do offer free small tastes to help you find what you want to order. My favorite was a double strong pale ale (9 percent!) that went down so easy that I had 2. It is ok to bring your own food and that is advised. They do have snacks for sale, nuts and patato chips and the like, and free small pretzels. My wife also had 2 rounds and we left for less than $20. If you want to brew your own suds, they have all the equipment for sale as well as all the ingredients. They even offer 3 hour classes on how to brew for $25. "IF YOU LIKE BEER, YOU GOTTA COME HERE!"

“Great Tasting Room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

This place surprised me. I did the customary sample of everything and found what I say 3 of the 8 were exceptional, 2 were good, 3 were OK, and 1 was not so good. So, that is a really good record in my book!

The Vienna Lager, Mundo's Cream Ale, and the County Rye Pale Ale were exceptional.

The place has a great laid back atmosphere. They do not have food, but on the the weekends a local food truck stops in. Its a good time.

To top it off, this place is a home brew supply store. The people who sell the stuff are actually involved in the brewing and know what they are doing.

On Sat/Sun at 2 and 5 they will give you a brief tour. For beer lovers, a must stop in the area.

“Brewery and HB supply store”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

Very good beers, including a Cask Ale every Tuesday. Bring your own food as they only have chips/nuts/snacks. Super nice people and approx 10 craft beers on tap in a large warehouse with beach atmosphere. Large pier mural and numerous surfboards. Best home brew supplies and equipment in the tricounty area.
