We stayed in a suite on the third floor one Friday night to catch an early flight out of the airport Saturday morning. The suite had two double beds in a large room with a nice TV and a huge window with a very narrow but accessible balcony (you can't sit there, just get fresh air standing and soaking up the view of planes taking off with mountains in the background). I don't like double beds, but we had our two girls with us so I had to settle for that. Wish they had two queens. This room had its own door you can close off from the rest of the suite.
The entry room had a hide-a-bed sofa in a seating arrangement with its own TV. It was comfortable and nice when we had extra family over. There is a small frig, a bar sink, and a microwave in the kitchenette. The bathroom is in the middle and is self-contained.
I was surprised that the airplane traffic did not disturb us too much at night. I do bring sound conditioning machines wherever I go, so that helps (tip).
The pool area is very nice. This was in April, and it was warm out (upper 70's during the day), but the water slide area of the pool was closed - that part is seasonal along with a BBQ/pool-side restaurant building. The pool is salt water, but it is heated and the girls loved it. I enjoyed the large hot tub, although it splashes you in the face when it is running. We were able to relax and visit with family by the pool for quite a while.
Our suite came with two breakfast vouchers, even though they knew four of us were staying in the room. The room also came with two cocktail vouchers, which they exchanged for another breakfast coupon. Would it have killed them to spot us one more breakfast? I did ask, but no dice. The breakfast buffet was hot, but pretty basic. Large pans of "scrambled" eggs (Egg Beaters?) never turn me on that much. Overcooked (watery) eggs and they made me pay an extra $10 for my "extra" daughter. There was bacon and sausage and cereal options though. We were all able to eat before our 8:10 AM flight. Coffee was hot and unusually good.
One important thing to note, breakfast starts at 6:00 AM on Saturday mornings, which is one of the main reasons we chose this property. Other airport hotels in the area don't start breakfast until 8! Other properties also don't start their airport shuttle service until 7 AM either, so if you have an early flight (you need to allow extra time for security of course), you would be out of luck.
We had intended to simply walk across the parking lot to the airport terminal building, but there was a shuttle van waiting so we just took that. Free plus whatever you tip and you don't have to navigate your way across the busy streets or through the parking lot.
Next time we might skip the breakfast and just eat in the airport if it means a difference in price. We would stay here again, as I loved the room arrangement and the relaxing pool environment. Staff was friendly and helpful.
