I highly recommend taking the Border Jumper Trolley from El Paso to Jaurez, Mexico. You'll be able to see much more than if you walk the bridge. There are a total of nine stops to get off. You can get back on the trolley and take it to the other stops or skip the ones that don't interest you. The only draw back is that the trolley doesn't come back around for an hour. However, most of the stops have more than one store within walking distance so that hour goes by fairly quickly. Just don't miss it or you'll be there for another hour! The city market (stop 8 &9) are a must see. It's filled with vendors and you can find pottery, blankets, jewelry, trinkets, mexico cookware, and much more. Don't forget to have lunch outdoors while you're there. They have outdoor vendors and marachi bands that stroll by your table to hawk their goods and music. Ask for Maurico as your waiter. He's very pleasant and more than helpful if you're looking for something in particular to purchase. It's a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
