When you come back to your hometown after decades living in other states, nothing beats finding new, marvelous restaurants. Tabla is such a spot. Tapas is a wonderful dining style if you're a foodie as you have the opportunity to try more dishes than in traditional establishments. A definite plus in my book.
The menu is quite varied so you should not have any issues with finding a few things to try. The pear salad was a lovely blend of flavors. The shrimp salad also offered a palate of flavors distinctive, yet blending beautifully. If you are in the mood for salad only, the portions should satisfy most.
The tapas were excellent. Be sure to try the pinchos, grilled asparagus and crispy green beans. Lovely preparations and scrumptious.
Service was attentive and friendly. Our only regret? We had to leave El Paso. If we lived in town, we'd be regulars!
