“Nice pool, close to freeway and food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2011

This Comfort Inn features pleasant staff, a nice pool area, and a basic breakfast. The rooms are not fancy but they are functional. The hotel is a bit rough around the edges, no doubt worn from heavy use. Still, it was a good value and I would stay here again.

We stayed here our first night on our return trip from Oregon to Louisiana. After we had such bad luck on the way to Louisiana with hotels we decided to just wing it and find a motel when we got to El Paso, we saw this one and decided to give it a try. For the price it wasn't a bad motel, the carpet was a little dirty but it was hard to tell until you saw the bottom of your feet. The bathroom could use a little better cleaning but overall it wasn't the worst room I have ever stayed in.
The pool area was nice but when we went it was packed full of people and I didn't like the fact that they were allowed to drink around the pool, there were several "pool parties" going on and that made me nervous with their small children allowed to hang out in and out of the pool while they were drinking.
It was centrally located for where we were, not far from the shopping mall so we took advantage of that and got some exercise after being in the car all day. There were several restaurants, gas stations, etc close by.
The staff seemed very courteous, my husband dealt with them more than I did.
Overall for the price it wasn't terrible.

We rented 2 rooms for a weekend trip to visit family. The water pressure was terrible. There was more water coming out of the faucet than the showerhead. The water filled up in the shower, and took until the completion of the shower to drain. The water temperature was luke warm. Had to call housekeeping both nights to get towels sent to the room. Parking was also terrible. There were 4 different vehicles w/ trailers taking up 5-6 parking spaces each. This already put a strain on limited parking. Unfortunately, this was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. Gave the hotel a second chance. There will not be a third.

Minimally helpful desk crew.
First room: plastic, broken security bolt. Air conditioner broken. No maintenance person for assistance. Room smelled of urine.
Second room: plastic security bolt. Oh please, give me a break. peeling wall paper in the bathroom. dirty stained wall paper in the room. Arm of a chair pulls off.

I passed on the two Best Westerns in El Paso because of their bad reviews. If this is supposed to be better, OMG!

I want inexpensive, don't expect luxury, but DO expect clean, in good repair.

Pass on this turkey!

Hotel staff were very nice and courteous. The internet was very fast even tho the hotel was 100% booked because of a few conferences in town. The beds and linen were crisp and clean. The area surrounding the hotel had many quality places to eat. The parking lot had tons of space left even when booked at 100%. Overall a great affordable hotel. Plus it has a nice pool. And merely minutes from fort bliss.

To begin with this room had very poor housekeeping. Missing a towel, a lamp was unplugged and never plugged back in and there was a dirty cleaning rag left on top of the microwave. Fan in the bathroom was broken. We should have left then but were very tired. Traveling cross country from CA to TX. The girl at the desk, Sara, did come at once with the towel and she was very accomodating. It wasn't until I looked at the blankets that I realized how bad it was. They were all pilled and had holes in them. They did appear to be clean but I could not sleep well using them. The lighting was good. They had a good breakfast.
