“Classic hotel in Little Rock”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

The Capital Hotel sets itself apart by providing outstanding customer service. And this is in addition to a classic structure from the 1800's which is in impeccable shape with clean, updated rooms with VERY comfortable beds. They also have a fantastic bar/restaurant just off the lobby which is perfect for snacks, lunch, dinner and/or drinks at any time of day. I have stayed in many hotels during my business travels and if I could find a hotel like this in each city I visit, I would not stay anywhere else.

Typing in "Capital" hotels one sees some pretty exotic locations, but don't skip downtown Little Rock. Within easy walking distance from this hotel, you have a river, walking trail, presidential library, Heifer Headquarters and several eating and music options, including two within the property itself. Superb attention to service begins with the valets opening the door, extends to the concierge showing you to your room and explaining the amenities and is rounded out by turndown service and the answering of every question. We had a large, beautiful room with special treatment because it was our anniversary. The public spaces were beautiful as well. We enjoyed both the lobbies and the balcony. Do not skip the Capital if you have occasion to be in Little Rock.

I've had the good fortune to stay at the Capital Hotel in Little Rock for two different business events in 2013 and 2011. It's a beautiful hotel, with well-furnished rooms, stained glass windows, crown molding and excellent restaurants. But what really makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the excellent, personal service that you receive from the minute their staff picks you up at the hotel. This is the type of five-star service that is rare in today's world. Everyone is not only courteous and helpful, but they are also welcoming and highly professional. If you are looking for THE place to stay in Little Rock, and you need everything to be just perfect, don't look anywhere else but the Capital Hotel. Highly recommended!

Gorgeously renovated and a historic feel. Our room was huge and had at least 20 foot ceilings. Luxurious in every sense. There was an issue with a bridal party and the hotel's response and resolution was above and beyond all expectations. Best service we have ever encountered in over 20 years of travels. In the heart of downtown Little Rock and walking distance to everything. Ashley's for an incredible meal and prices/wine list were more reasonable than any restaurant of this caliber we've been to. Can't say enough good things.

Room Tip: We did not ask for anything specific. Our room had a view of a lower roof - normally a very poor vi...

If you want a perfect wedding reception in Little Rock, AR - the Capital Hotel located on 111 W. Markham is all you need to know....

Gigi, Liz & Chuck put together an absolutely "perfect" wedding reception for us on June 22, 2013. From beginning to end, the event flowed smoothly & every attention to detail was spot on.

Many of the wedding guests stayed at the hotel, with several raving about the delicious food and the attention, starting with a personal escort to their room, polite bellman and awesome valet parking.

Words cannot describe what a wonderful time we enjoyed.

In town on biz. Really nice place. Lots of character. High ceilings crown molding, marble, etc. really great staff. Had a late meal in the bar - definitely recommend the bean soup. Easy walking distance to most of downtown. Close to Clinton museum. Will stay here again on my next trip to little rock

This is a lovely hotel, well-maintained and nicely staffed. The Capital does all the little things right: spotless rooms, friendly (not cloying) service, quiet and safe surroundings. Great meals at the Capital Bar and Grill and Ashley's. Good valet parking. What else could you ask for from a hotel? Location is prime, as well. Plenty of restaurants and attractions within easy walking distance. Go!
