“Excellent find during our trip from TX to KY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Found this restaurant on our way from TX to KY. It was in a cute part of town with lots of shops and there was easy parking in front of entrance. It was perfect for lunch, everything was fresh and hand-made with quality ingredients. There was a small bar area and made-on-site gelato. I had a salad which was HUGE and the white bean and bacon soup. The soup was awesome. My husband had a ham and pineapple pizza - crust and sauce were perfect. We sat in the loft above the cooking area. Casual and fun!

“Great pizza and salads”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

We were passing through LR and had checked into a hotel just off I-30 on the west side for the night. We decided to check out this restaurant/pizza parlor since it had wood fired pizza. It was a little hard to find. The GPS found the address but the actual restaurant is in the back of the building which made it a little hard to find. Luckily we had turned down the side street to turn around and saw the restaurant and parking lot. We had a Greek salad which was huge and quite delicious. We noticed that other diner were eating only salads and no pizza. The pizza was brought to our table very hot so we had to let it cool a bit. The Italian sausage pizza was the thin crust type which we both love. It had delicious Italian sausage on it that they said was home made. I have never tasted sausage that good before. The arugula on top was a bit different but was a nice touch and we loved it. Of course on leaving we could not pass the home made gelato case without buying some. It also was delicious. The prices matched the quality of the food. If you want cheap pizza, go to Dominos. We hit a gem with this place.

“Awesome wood fire pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

I LOVE Za Zas! Their pizzas will make you seriously reconsider how you can ever eat Pizza Hut again. You can customize your salad while they make it in front of you. Fast casual service so you order, pay, sit down and food is brought to you. Wine and beer are available (always a plus for me) and once you're about to explode from awesome pizza, there's a gelato bar. Winner! Try the Quatro Staggioni, and ask them to mix all the toppings on the pizza instead of having it in 4 'quadrants.' It's got Kalamata olives, prosciutto, big Parmesan shavings and artichokes. you'll thank me later.
