“These guys do a great job”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Arkansas is the Natural State, and the Parks and Tourism folks do a wonderful job getting the word out as to what the state has to offer. Whether it's camping in a tent or a camper or staying at one of the many cabins, you will enjoy Arkansas more by staying in one of their state parks.

“Must Be Indiana Jones to Find It”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

The office of the Parks and Tourism is located at 1 Capitol Mall on the west side of the state capitol building. First of all finding a place to park is nearly impossible as most of the spaces are alloted to government officials and those working in the area. Numerous offices are located at 1 Capitol Mall including the Legislative Library and the State History Commission among many, many others. You enter the building on the fourth floor and go down to floor one which is confusing for someone never being there before. The Arkansas Parks and Tourism office is not that large and is mostly set up as a gift shop of shirts. They can tell you what you want to know, but unless you are there for some other purpose there really isn't a lot of reason to visit.

“Arkansas's best kept secret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2012

These guys keep going and going and going. The State Parks of Arkansas are its very best asset. Excellence is seen in almost every one of the parks. Petit Jean and Magazine are the queen parks but the rest are not far behind. Their only shortcoming is usually food service. They have never figured out how to bring great food to rural Arkansas woods and hills.
