“Very nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I understand the rooms here were renovated recently. The room was stunning. Great bed, bath, and amenities. The muted tones and modern furnishings are great. The lighting is a little low for doing work in the room, but not terrible. The automatic lights for the bed are a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and restaurant service was great despite the crowd there for a large convention. Will return here if I have future business in a little Rock

Room Tip: Get a river view if you can.

Have stayed here several times through the remodel. Great to see the finished product. High Quality property, great rooms and love the view of the river.

As a Platinum member this is the first time I have seen the M club concept-it is awesome. So much better than anything else I have seen on a concierge level.

Really good workout facility. Spacious and modern. I found the restaurant to be good as well-great selection of craft beers. Starbucks in the lobby is a plus as well. This will be my new "home away from home" when in LR!

My wife and I had not stayed here since this property was The Peabody. In fact, we intentionally had not stayed here, but a convention required us to attend again. We were pleasantly surprised with the makeover. The colors, the quality, the cleanliness and the staff were all over the top. These folks have made a lot of major changes and while we did dodge a few of the maintenance crews still working in the public areas, our stay was wonderful. In fact, we were shocked at the transformation that has taken place since Marriott has taken over. It reminds me of a butterfly emerging from the cocoon!

Beautiful recent renovations and nicely appointed rooms The hotel lobby is stunning and an enjoyable place to sit and talk with colleagues or friends. Unfortunately, a number of amenities and services were sorely missing on two recent stays. The main restaurant in the lobby is extremely dark - great for cocktails and dinner but not for breakfast. Service is friendly but amenities like cream or even half-and-half are missing. The second morning we elected to walk across the street to the Capital Hotel's 111 Restaurant for breakfast, which is much nicer in food quality and ambience. One evening we walked into the Marriott's lobby bar to have a drink and the smell of raw fish from the integrated restaurant was so overpowering that we turned and left. The concierge lounge is a major disappointment. There is very little room to sit down at a table, the food selection and quality is second rate, and basic amenities like water and soda often were depleted. Others have written of nicely appointed rooms, which is true. Again, the little things are often remembered, like roaches in the bathroom. To end on a positive note, the fitness center is superb.

Room Tip: Rooms on the North and West sides of the hotel have very nice views of the Arkansas River and Capito...

I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference. the rooms have obviously been remodeled very recently. The availability of USB plugs for charging devices everywhere in the room were a true sign of modern times, and although we still carry the AC adapter, a sign of times to come when we can leave them behind. The comfortable sofas in the lobby also all had AC and USB sockets for charging, allowing for some last minute charging before hitting the road. Nice details.
Perhaps the nicest detail for me was the LED lighting near the floor in the bedroom that detected movement at night and lit the floor to allow a safe trip to the bathroom without having to reach for a light. It works very well.
Finally, the hotel has a van to and from the airport, running at a reasonable frequency, and with its central location staying at this hotel will probably save you a rental if your conference is here.

Very good hotel. Room was very clean. Excellent location. A few negatives. Breakfast in the hotel was practically inedible. I ordered an omelet with potatoes. The kitchen forgot to cook the potatoes and left out one of the ingredients I requested in my omelet. One other caveat. Try to avoid a room that has a connecting door to an adjacent room. Too noisy.

Room Tip: Avoid connecting rooms as the doors between the rooms are not soundproofed.

HEY MARRIOTTt - CHARGING CUSTOMERS FOR A SERVICE INCLUDED IN THE RATE DAYS LATER AND NOT RETURNING YOUR CUSTOMER'S CALL TO CREDIT IT IS A SLIMY BUSINESS PRACTICE!! A room was booked on the web with a rate that included valet parking. A correct bill was provided at checkout that showed valet parking was included. A couple of days later, a valet parking charge showed up on our credit card. When the hotel was called directly the person at the front desk who answered the phone, was audibly annoyed and said she was checking in people and was too busy to deal with the issue. After asking for the manager, a voicemail message was left regarding the charge that needed to be credited and the snot at the front desk who answered the phone and the call was never returned. Clearly the staff and management do not care about their customers from a customer service standpoint, nor that they owe a customer $20. As frequent business and personal travelers, we are fortunate there are so many other hotel choices out there who treat their customers right. We will not stay at this hotel again. The beds at DoubleTree right down the street are just as comfortable.

Room Tip: Stay at the DoubleTree down the street.
