“Great Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

We stayed in one of the executive suites, and it was well worth the extra expense. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. I'm really picky about mattresses, but this one was great! The breakfast was pretty good, the only drawback is that the hot foods were not included, there was an extra charge for them. Also, it is valet-only parking, and $20 per day seemed a little exorbitant.

Room Tip: I would definitely splurge on the executive suites!

From the first moment after walking into the LittleRock Marriott our experience was fantastic! The lobby is a wow! The restaurant food was AMAZING! Really really good! The staff was beyond helpful! The concierge walked across the street to Ashley's Steakhouse reservations (don't go here if you're very hungry....food is very good but bite size portions and very expensive!) Our suite was beyond! It was 2 levels! The bathroom was huge! Bed really comfortable! Clean! Efficient! Well run! You can tell the staff was trained to give luxury hotel service, since this use to be a Peabody Hotel. We do events all over the country and stay in many hotels and this may have been our most pleasant experience ever. Thank you lLittle Rock Marriott!

From the valet guys to the concierge, the staff was extremely upbeat and helpful. The rooms were generous and clean with very nice comfortable bedding. A few maintenance things like the worn rug and picture missing with hooks exposed were noted but not problem. The elevators give (and some of the rooms) have gorgeous views of the Arkansas River. The lobby was huge and well appointed. This former Peabody Hotel made LIttle Rock feel like we were in a large city. And it is in a nice area with great restaurants and historical sites. We ate at Pancetta, the restaurant inside the Marriott and the service and the food were excellent at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Get the oatmeal, French onion soup and the filet. The 3-5 minute indoor (or outdoor) walk over to the State House Convention Center was easy. The food at the Convention Center was notably better quality than your typical rubber chicken dinner. After our group went over schedule, the staff miraculously turned over the room of 500 from breakfast to lunch in 30 minutes. Way to go LIttle Rock Marriott! Your hard work and charming hospitality are exceptional.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Arkansas River on a top floor.

Love this place. All employees are nice, polite, knowledgable of area, friendly and just a joy to interact with. They make any stay here refreshing even in the ice and snow. Rooms are comfortable and well kept. Best night's sleep I'd had in weeks - great beds. Breakfast is excellent with a good variety. Definitely looking forward to my next stay here.

While parking is a block away, if you want to self park, the valet will take your car and take care of that issue for you.
Getting in too late and with kids, valet was our, not usual, choice.
The valet were nice and had it ready when we wanted to leave as well.
The foyer is huge and beautiful.
The Christmas tree and candy city display were great for the holidays.
The rooms and 2 double beds are as usual big enough for four. Bedding is comfortable and clean.
We enjoyed the night at this hotel, but would probably like to sightsee a bit next time!
Breakfast buffet does have good sausage, bacon, and pastries. I would suggest having an omelette made rather than getting scrambled eggs from the Buffett.
Enjoy you stay!

We stayed here one night on our way to visit family during the Thanksgiving holidays. It's an older hotel, and had recently changed hands from the Peabody to the Marriott. As a result, it had some signs of age in the room, although it appeared it was in the process of being updated. The staff however, was amazing and very accommodating! The room was clean, and the bedding was white, modern, and fresh.

As we were leaving (in a hurry), we drove off with 3 small bags, including a briefcase with an ipad, prescription medication, etc. still on the ground on the hotel drive, behind our car. Three hours later, we discovered our mistake, panicked, and called the hotel. They had all the bags in security, and arranged to ship it, FEDEX, to our temporary location on the Friday after Thanksgiving Day. It arrived as scheduled, with everything in place. I especially want to thank Chris at the front desk, for handling this for us. It meant so much and was a great relief! He was so nice and so helpful.

We also ate at Pancetta's which has a new chef. It was outstanding! Apparently, it was previously a popular steak house, and with the change from the Peabody ownership, they are also trying out a new menu. I had scallops on a bed of spinach and grits - AWESOME!

I would give this hotel 5 stars except that it still shows signs of wear from its previous life, which I think they will soon remedy. THANKS CHRIS!!!!

We stayed here 2 nights for a fall wedding. There was a lot going on that weekend in downtown Little Rock, and the groom's mother recommended the Marriott, formerly the Peabody. We made our reservations early and got a good, group rate. The first room we checked into had a previous-smoker smell that I knew I wouldn't be able to handle for 2 nights. (The hotel is non-smoking.) After calling the front desk, they immediately brought up replacement keys for another room down the hall. We were also given 2 free breakfast buffet tickets for our trouble. The second room didn't have as good of a view, no smoke smell, but we had to call maintenance to get the shower to operate. The rest of our stay was pleasant. Valet parking was reasonable and efficient, and the breakfast buffet on Saturday morning (especially the sausage gravy) was excellent!

Room Tip: Our first room had a river view, which was lovely.
