Fantastic hosts with genuine interest in guests and lots of information about the area. We loved the cozy antiques-decorated heritage home, the location with easy access to the Shakespeare Festival, great breakfasts, colorful and relaxing garden area, and the attached wine tasting facility. What a lovely way to be spoiled after camping in Zion. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband I stayed at the Iron Gate Inn in July. We chose this B&B for its central location, as we were visiting Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Susan and shown to our room. We were located on the second floor, and our bed was very comfortable.
The breakfasts are delicious.
The only glitch we had, which was corrected immediately was that the AC went out. It was promptly repaired, and we were given a fan to sit next to the bed, while the Inn was cooling down.

Would highly recommend staying here!!!!

it is pleasant and clean, with really gracious hosts. Also our hosts are very knowledgeable about activities and what's happening
Sometimes they offer a free late afternoon wine discussion of events and activities. Also a wine tasting area. Best B&B tho expensive. Best place to stay in Cedar City

The Iron Gate Inn is in a perfect location to walk to the Shakespeare Festival productions, Southern Utah University campus, coffee house, and quaint shops in the downtown area.
The rooms are decorated in charming style and very clean, The home is quiet. I would definitely recommend this B & B.

Iron Gate Inn would appeal to many different types of travelers. The property is decorated tastefully. Very welcoming without being overdone. My room was on the main floor. It provided a sense of privacy, comfortable bed, updated bathroom, and was able to sleep with the windows open (overlooking the garden).
Although I arrived solo, it was nice to be part of the Iron Gate Community. One group offered to save a seat for a performance at a local cafe, since it tended to fill up fast, for me. I walked the short block to the evening play with another couple.
The owners are very engaged with the local community and enjoy operating the property.
Do yourself a favor, stay here.

Just left Cedar City and the Iron Gate Inn and can't wait to go back! CR and Susan are wonderful hosts...very welcoming! The beds were extremely comfortable and the room and bathroom spotless. Breakfast was served in the dining room and in the garden which we really enjoyed. A french toast dish was our favorite...and Susan was kind enough to accommodate not only my vegetarian preference...but my daughter who is vegan! The location is perfect for the Utah Shakespeare Festival (a MUST!!) and also for two of our favorite places to grab a bite...The Pastry Pub and Centro Pizza. This B&B is lovingly cared for and I have already made plans to go back in the fall! Highly recommended!

Room Tip: There appeared to be a couple of ground floors rooms which I would recommend for anyone who might ha...

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Iron Gate Inn. We picked it because of good reviews, great location, and the uniqueness of having a winery in Utah! We were not disappointed. Our room was lovely, and it is a short walking distance to the Shakespeare festival venues. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance as well. CR and Susan are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious. We made it to a wine tasting at the winery, and they have a real variety of good wines. I don't think you could go wrong staying here.
