“Consider The Evelyn for your next NYC stay!”

This is a GREAT hotel. Rooms are recently renovated and though they are quite small, they are immaculate. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Complimentary water and coffee in the lobby is a nice touch. The location of this hotel cannot be beat - close to Madison Square Park, great shopping, great restaurants! We read prior reviews about the elevator being slow, but it was not a problem at all when we were there. Highly recommend The Evelyn!

Really nice hotel in a great location. Friendly and efficient staff, complimentary tea and coffee at reception was a nice touch. Only points for improvement would sorting the windows out as they rattled loudly in the wind at night and let a draft in, and the shower temperature was difficult to control. Otherwise great stay.

This hotel has is undergoing renovation - as of March 2015 I would say guest rooms are 80% complete. The renovated guest rooms are very comfortable. A bit small as is to be expected in NYC. No dresser. The beds and linens and bath products very nice.
Lobby is still a bit of a mess. No lobby bar at this time - but cute bar right next door. Coffee and water in the lobby along with pastries in the morning. Super friendly staff. Really made me feel welcome over my 6 day stay. Only one elevator so it can be a bit of a wait.

A very pleasant stay. The hotel is undergoing renovations and that meant only one working elevator. If you stay here, pick a low floor! Tremendous service from the staff.

The box is telling me I need 30 more characters, so here they are.

The Evelyn is a brilliant hotel to stay in, it is very central, subway just round the corner, flatiron building 3 mins walk. Staff are incredibly professional, they even made a call to check a dress code for us. See if you can sneak a ride in the original 1903 elevator it's an experience.

Room Tip: Room 908 is a very quiet room

We loved The Evelyn. It's location was great and the hotel is very clean and comfortable, even though they were in the middle of remodeling. This was our first time visiting NYC and staying here made the trip so much more enjoyable. We will stay here again.
