The Ameritania exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived we were given an upgrade to a king suite. Bed was extremely comfortable. Overall a perfect experience..

New York city is an exciting bustling city, but certainly staying at the beautiful, clean Ameritania Hotel added to the experience. The staff, especially one of its managers Swlvia, go out of their way to make sure that we are welcomed. I admittedly ran into several traveling faux paux, including needing an extra day, needing copies and even forgot personal belongings, and the staff took care of everything with a smile.
I highly recommend this hotel, as it is not just a comfortably affordable luxury, but everything is done with a smile.

I was given a corner suite which was very spacious and clean. Only complaint I have is with the housekeepers - if you don't have the do not disturb tag on the door they will just walk right into your room w out knocking (or waiting for a response)

Stayed here 1 week in January.Loved it,great location, very nice staff. Both Julian and Jeff were very helpfull with my luggage and tips on where to go.
Only thing I missed in the room was a coffee/tea maker. You can get coffee and tea in The lobby but it would be nice to have it in your room so you can start the day with a nice cup of coffee/tea

This is comparable to its sister hotel, the Moderne, with a couple of differences. The furniture at the Modern is still in one piece - the silver chair in my room was absolutely worn, with silver flakes shedding about. I hunted for an outlet, and found it under the television, too far from the desk to use with the computer, and had to carefully step around the phones on the floor as they charged. The clock radio is an excellent model, but is positioned at the back of the desk, as far from the bed as possible, although there is a bedside table...? The floor-to-ceiling window is terrific, as is the view, and a large standing mirror helped to brighten the room. As with the Moderne, the beds, linens and toiletries are all outstanding, the rain shower is much appreciated, and the heating unit efficient with noise that fades into the background. I attended a performance, and returned to find that the bar only serves drinks, although breakfast is served (extra cost) in the same area. I tried to find out if there was any place nearby where I could get something that's not a sandwich, but had to settle for the protein bar I had thankfully packed. It is a very nice, retro-styled property and would attract more people post-theatre with a little something in the bar (cheese? Crackers? Dried fruit?) as well as regular patrons through making small improvements in layout in their good-sized rooms.

The location is excellent. The hotel is clean and modern. The staff are very helpful. Very comfortable bed. The room was quite small room but typical for a city stay as not much time is spent in hotel.

Stayed in this hotel for four nights in January. Absolutely love the decor, it may not be to everybody's tastes but I thought it was fantastic. Beds were fantastic and very comfy, and the shower was gorgeous. Not much of a view from the room but we didn't need one, as Times Square itself is only a few blocks away. We had trouble with our flights home and the reception staff were very kind and understanding - they let us use the phone to contact our airlines and even bought up cups of tea for us at 1am when we were packing! Really lovely staff especially Sasha on the bar who made us great cocktails. Thankyou Ameritania you really put the cherry on or cake of a holiday.
