So sometimes a hotel has a momentary computer glitch and some crazy price may be available for a minute. Thus, I paid $10/night for 2 nights. Well this could be enough for a hotel to resent me and maybe put me a less desirable room (every hotel has them). I emailed management letting them know that I was coming home to NYC for my 50th and asked what they were going to do with me. I got a lovely email back only minutes later wishing me a happy birthday and confirming a wonderful room upgrade.
The hotel's just above Times Square, just below Central Park, and near almost every subway line. That's perfect to me! The lobby is high design- smart, comfortable, welcoming. The front desk staff was perfect- at check in and check out. They welcomed me at check in and wished me safe travels at check out. They were polished, professional, and oh so pleasant.
Our 11th floor room had a nice enough view, was large (by NYC standards), very well appointed, with a superb bathroom (for its size), and the greatest cupcake ever waiting for me on the desk with a happy birthday note. -most excellent!
We were going to go home early due to weather but loved the hotel so much we stayed the 2nd night and were thrilled. FYI- with the pending storm approaching, the hotel increased their doormen (seemingly), treated the sidewalk, and placed runners inside the lobby to make everything as safe as possible. Great job! I will ALWAYS recommend this hotel.
High floor w/view. Always!
